Anyone come up with a solution for keeping things from sliding when sitting on the cargo management shelf?
Also, isn't it annoying that there are no grooves built into the rubber mat that align with the cargo management when vertical?

I have an old gray rubber backed bathroom rug I use. It allows me to slide things into the back when really heavy and avoids marking up the bumper or cargo pad. I can then flip it over and the rubberized part keeps items from sliding around.

When inserted in the right orientation vertically into any of the slots in the rails the notches in the in the folded up shelf allow it to sit flat on the rubber cargo area mat with no gaps. Mine doesn’t move around after it’s seated.

I place a couple of harbor freight moving blankets on top of the CMS. I purchased 2 different sizes. Besides not allowing anything to slide around, the moving blankets cover the plastic etc surfaces when I need to haul stuff including sometimes with the seats down.

You can buy some of that rubber sheeting that you put under rugs to keep them from sliding on hard floors. (Cheaper), or, go-to Harbor Freight and buy some toolbox liner. Both work. I have this under and on top of the CMS

Are you placing just random items on there or is it something that has a permanent home?

In my old Accord, I had the trunk liner tray. I carry a Rubbermade storage box with "supply" items in the trunk. To keep it from sliding around on the tray, I put a small piece of velcro under it. I think it was 1" square at the most. It wasn't hard to pick up but it mostly kept it in place.
