Car Camping in Colorado! Only 1 tiny annoyance

I’ve been car camping all over northern Colorado as I scout for elk season then fly fishing. It’s been great and I have a lot of room for anything I need. My only issue is the screen staying on for 20 min while the rest of the car is completely off. Besides that, I love it!
6’0 and able to completely sprawl out if I just move the driver seat up about 1’. I use backpacks and spotting scope bags/etc for the empty floor space of where my head is.

I added some photos of my recent trips. I know others use mattresses but it’s just me and it gets the job done! Last photo is the screen lighting the car up.

You can turn the screen off. below the screen, far button the right.

I have a similar setup. The delay with the screen might be the accessory power ( stays in on mine for about 10 minutes). It might go off if you open a door then close it after shutting down.

If I don't close my doors all the way - just softly close it one click - it won't wake the car up. If I forget the dam thing starts it's humming and clicking.

I literally had this issue last night while car camping and had to look it up as well. Super annoying and unnecessary

I understand how to make it turn black, but it's still visibly lit up when you do that.

I've slept in my BS a couple of times. It started raining, so I closed the doors. Lights on! Once it stopped raining, it got hot, so I opened the doors. Lights on! What a waste of the very limited battery power. I've hung a mosquito net inside to keep the bugs off me. Works well. My feet did get wet when it rained, but it was warm enough that it didn't matter.

@greengrass47 what tire size and/or lift setup you running?

I'm out in Silverthorne and looking to upgrade our BS with something similar. Did you get the work done on the front range?
