At this point I've driven another 3,500-4,000 miles and the rod holder has held up so well. I've gotten a lot of compliments and they're shocked when I mention how cheap it was to make.
I’ve been car camping all over northern Colorado as I scout for elk season then fly fishing. It’s been great and I have a lot of room for anything I need. My only issue is the screen staying on for 20 min while the rest of the car is completely off. Besides that, I love it!

I recently moved to Colorado and am frequently fly fishing. My rod just barely fits in my car and bends so I decided on a rod vault. Didn’t want to spend the $ for a name brand so I made this out of Sch 40 PVC and an ammo can.
