Bronco seats are starting to peel away

I think I must’ve been luckiest person in the world because I think I’m the only one that has my seats peeling away on the black part in the middle. Is anybody else else having this problem?

Yes and no. It does take effort on the part of the vehicle owner to make the best use of the Ford Motor Company media contact that replies to a thread. Setting expectations is key.

My back seats are starting to crack and peel also, not as bad , but same type of seats

My driver’s seat is showing a little scuffing on the outside seat and lower outside back from wear of getting in and out. It’s hardly noticeable when the seats are clean/conditioned, and I really can’t complain after almost four years of use. Passenger/rear seats have no deterioration (less use and my wife’s a lot lighter than me - heh, heh, heh).

Center section is only dyed on top not through and through. It will continue to peel over time. A reputable upholstery shop can blend that area and make it look good but it will always be a problem. I put Katskin in my BB myself to avoid this issue.

Several owners have posted similar issues and turns out most had clothes with rough edges or jeans with rivets etc. which caused the “relatively delicate” material on the seats to be damaged much like your pic shows.

And some were damaged also on the ebony material.

At least one had tools in their back pocket that caused considerable damage much worse than your pic shows.

I don’t know that the material on the seats is “delicate” but in your case if it wasn’t caused by tools or something like clothes with rough edges/rivets then the seat material is not something that’s going to take a lot of wear and tear.

What year is your the Badlands and how many miles on it when you noticed the seat damage?
