Box behind rear view mirror

I've looked in manual and Google and too many different answers. What is the black box with a fish eye camera looking thing behind my rear view mirror on windshield?? I have a badlands 2022...

It certainly looks like a lens as it is reflective like glass or plastic. I too am curious as to what it is. Strange angle too.

Apparently it's the ambient temp sensor according to the linked thread above. Terrible design as it looks like a camera. Didn't anyone at Ford field test this to see what consumers would think?

The ambient temperature sensor on my 2022 Bronco Sport Badlands is located on the front grill inner support placing it right in front of the top of the shutter opening. It mounts on the inside. My finger is pointing to the 2 push clips of the sensor.

The one you are pointing to is the outside ambient air temperature sensor
