I like the BS more for practicality, but that 2 door is the coolest looking vehicle I’ve ever seen. Yours specifically. Edit: let me fluff your ego a bit. I’ve seen this picture here before and pulled it up for friends to say “LOOK AT THIS THING!” Might be funny to hear that.No lift , stock badlands First Edition![]()
No difference at all , I had 235/65/17 on it originally . Gave those to a friend and she put them on her Big Ben. They only had 3500 miles on the rubber. Thanks , it rides very smooth.I like the BS more for practicality, but that 2 door is the coolest looking vehicle I’ve ever seen. Yours specifically. Edit: let me fluff your ego a bit. I was going to ask about this in a separate new thread but might as well here: how much difference in torque/acceleration do you feel with the tires?
I've been preaching about pizza cutters for decades for this very reason. In my experience, narrow tires cut through mud and snow and get down to solid ground (assuming there is solid ground). Wide tires are great for sand & rock, and help to smooth out the ride. So far, my 235/65's Falkens have performed well in mud, snow, and on rock. When I replace them, I'll try to get another 1" of height, but I'm very happy with these tires. They've been getting good mileage on the road as well.
5.60-15 "razorbacks" on the VW BeetlesI've been preaching about pizza cutters for decades for this very reason.
The stock Falkens have been solid through muck and snow. No reason to replace them but when the time comes... I'm going taller.
Me old Gaffer contracted with a trucking company maintaining their trailers. They provided a vehicle to use in the yard where they stored all the trailers. It was a front-wheel-drive diesel-powered VW Rabbit pickup truck. I don't know what it was about that thing, but it was UNSTOPPABLE in the snow.5.60-15 "razorbacks" on the VW Beetles
Seat Belt, being lazyWhat is the cause of the warning gong?
Looks like it handles less-than-ideal conditions well, but it doesn't know how to sing...My BL handles both snow and in even wet volcanic ash… sticky stuff… I’m running KO2s at 245x65x17 on a stock Badlands… handles well on and off road… no complaints
I'm still running my Continentals on my BB. they were fine in the snow. Of course here in Kenmore we didn't get nearly as much as you did in Elma. Now with all the snow melt and rains I hope you're not dealing with the wide spread flooding I been seeing on Channel 4 every nite. Good luck. It's been really snowy here in Western NY this past week (3 foot a day almost), the roads are absolutely crapy and slick, I'm VERY happy with my BFGs thus far. Had I still been on my Continentals, I wouldn't have gotten anywhere. Prolly one of my better purchase decisions.
