  1. Badlands Deep Snow Performance

Hello, lifelong nerd here. Maybe you are too. In which case, you might be interested to know some experiential data on the performance of the vehicle in snow off road. Took the new baby out to shoot some guns on BLM land on a -10F day. Lots of breaking trail through snow of various inclines and...

Took my Outer Banks to the Outer Banks this weekend - experience & pics

Handled the soft sand like a pro. The only issue was the ground clearance. There were times when I went into the deep ruts and plowed some sand, but it never stopped moving. I had a blast! I have 235/65/18 Falken Wildpeak AT Trail tires on and I aired down to around 18 psi.

Offroading my Badlands in Nova Scotia, Canada

This weekend I was finally able to take my 21 Badlands and do some actual offroading with it. I have been trying to find some places near Halifax, NS and I have a friend who lives near the provincial trail system who offered to take me and show me around. We invited another friend to come with...
  4. Off roading upgrade suggestions

I have recently upgraded my tires to the 235/65/r17 Open Country A/T III so decided to take my Big Bend off roading on what was listed as a moderate difficulty trail (Yankee hill in Colorado). Didn't have any traction issues or anything like that (aired down to 20-25 psi) and for the most part...

    Vacation in Colorado (Boreas Pass)

Picture overload: this is Boreas Pass and is a 19 mile, easy-rated trail that anyone can do and the scenes are breathtaking. Pictures just don't do it justice.

    Bronco Badge of Honor Program

I know this was a topic brought up long, long ago but for those who were interested in such a program like myself, one already exists. This program is based off the honor system it seems as it doesn't confirm routes or GPS coordinates on AllTrails, OnX Off Road, etc. Also, if you have done a...

Vacation in Colorado (Indiana Creek Road)

So the wife and I attempted to do an easy rated trail yesterday evening in Indiana Creek Road outside of Breckenridge, CO. What we got to see of the 1.8 mile trail was beautiful but I would actually rate this trail easy-moderate as others did as well on AllTrails primarily due to its rocky and...

    Vacation in Colorado (Kingston Peak)

On our way to Loch Lomond trailhead, I took a wrong turn (because both Google lady's and my navigational skills on the trail stink) and ended up on the Kingston Peak trail, which I believe is a Jeep Badge of Honor trail, just saying. We conquered this Moderate-rated trail by AllTrails standards...

Bronco Sport Badlands @ Imogene Pass in Colorado Rockies

Hi! We took a trip to Ridgway, Ouray, and Telluride this week and ended up doing half of Black Bear Pass (we turned around at the one way sign leading to The Steps/Switchbacks). The portion of Black Bear we did was relatively easy but did have a few narrow roads and steep climbs. Overall it did...
