This might be a silly question, but you all go through the car wash with your fender flares? Or do you hand wash?
I’ve used a car wash on several occasions with no issues. I think a lot of fender flares are not properly installed.

For those that installed their own, I have a set I need to install on my wife's BB, do the OEM flares stay on & the Bushwacker flares go over them or do the OEM flares come off first?

I don't have them, but I also haven't seen any for the BS that require any true modification. They are all applied over the OEM.

They go over, no need to remove anything. Be careful with the clips. Take some time to study how they work. Be sure to fully seat them during installation, or they'll simply fall off. You may need to use something other than your finger to push them all the way into place. Don't pry them apart to make it easier to install; you want them as tight as possible.

I agree, most side mouldings and badges are affixed utilizing the same method. If the surface is cleaned thoroughly, should adhere fine without any issues

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays,

I was wondering if anyone has installed the Bushwacker fender flares, with the hardware, on their bronco sport?

I was looking into getting them and wanted to see how others liked them and how they looked on one.
Love them. Made the vehicle look far more rugged.

Have had zero issues going through high pressure car wash. However I have not and never do go through ones with the spinning brushes. Damage far more than flares.

The Bushwacker products are attached using steel clips. If you take care during installation they work very well. If they start coming loose it's likely because they weren't installed properly.

I just installed the Ford/Bushwhacker flares on our new 2024 today. The front flares go over the OEM flares but the back ones require removing the OEM flares and install directly on the vehicle. I did notice the install instructions were updated 8/14/23 and are different than earlier versions; for example there is no 3M tape required now. Bushwhacker may have updated/changed the flares and your particular install may depend on the date of manufacture of the flares.

The rear fenders stay on, I installed mine a couple of weeks ago, no problems installing over the original fenders. Beware, I did buy a cheap set of chinese knockoffs from Amazon that would not fit on the rear. Returned those and installed the real thing from Ford with my points.

Very odd. I installed mine over the rear factory wheel well edge liner. Are you sure you got bushwhacker?

Yep says Bushwhacker right on the flare, and it is the same Ford OEM option on the ford.com build site as a dealer installed option. I ordered it for our new '24, it didn't come in when the vehicle did, so we took delivery and then the Ford dealership sent it to us when it came in... so I had to install it instead of the dealer.
