Anyone else missing the panel under the dash above the passenger side fuse box where the floor air ducts are.

Has anyone noticed if you now spec out a carbonized gray badlands the picture depicts the light gray roof instead of the black one? I asked about the roof but was told they don’t know why it was gray and not black. Personally, it’s what I wanted but couldn’t order so I’m ok with it. Still don’t understand why it seems to be only on the carbonized gray vehicles.
I'm often easily confused, but I'm not sure I follow.

Are you saying that when you ordered you were under the impression that the roof would be black, but it is light grey instead?

So the roof used to be shown as black, but now it's shown as light grey?

When was your BS built? Mine was built in March and I have the hood insulation. I had to wait for the hush panel to come off back order, but it was installed 25 May at no cost to me. I guess I need to go back and complain about the tow eye. Especially since the Ford manual says it must be in the vehicle.
I didn't order mine. It was actually on the lot for purchase and I got lucky. According to the window sticker it was built 12/2021 and I purchased it February 12th. Mine is also the BB so it might vary on which one you build if it's included. Nothing better than popping the hood with the sales manager so he could make a point that they're not included and then I was able to make a point because the one we opened had the engine cover and hush panel and no hood insulation. He back tracked real quick lol Now I think he won't be using that tactic anymore lol ?

Yes. Should have been black per the configuration guide. Optional gray roof not available when the carbon gray body color is ordered. I would have ordered it if allowed. I didn’t even notice when I picked it up. Someone on the forum noticed it for me! In any case no one has explained it but now the build and price shows a gray roof when you pick a gray body for the Badlands instead of the standard black roof.

i got a bronco bottle opener, a bronco dufflebag, mug. .. so kinda free.. . But i got more than most for missing engine cover... i havent heard of anyone getting any better.. 100 dollar gift card i didnt have before..
Absolutely, you did well.

What I meant was, if a company (Ford in this case) gives all customers "points" (or whatever), and those points can be spent on anything in the company store, that's a nice bonus.

But if the company insists that the only way to get a part -- one that should be included from the factory -- is for the owner to purchase it with those points, they aren't doing the owner any favors.

For example, in our case our BL came with the hood insulation, so we can spend our points on (say) seat covers. A BS owner who wants the insulation and uses their points to buy it has less to spend on other stuff, that's all. That's probably obvious to most people, but I've read several posts in which the person spent their points on something that should come with their Bronco Sport and they say it was "free".

Your case is different. You got a gift card that is something most customers don't get, so that is not the same as the 'points' everyone receives. I suppose if the engine cover cost <$100, then that's the same as Ford giving it to you.

The stuff you got is more useful than an engine cover.

Yup spent my 42000 ford points on weather mats and cargo tray.. like you said im sure a lot of people used there points for that cover.. and that is definately not right as you said. Yup my b9ttle opener alone will be worth it

There were/are numerous mistakes, omissions, etc., in the 'build tool.

A cynical person might say that some "mistakes/omissions" were intentional. Whatever the case, even our dealer told us that the build tool was not entirely accurate.

There really is no excuse for that. The build tool is convenient, but if Ford (and other mfrs) can't get it right then they should just tell potential customers to visit their friendly local dealership.

Seriously, any company selling products online needs to make sure the information they provide is accurate. Particularly for cars and trucks that are the largest (or 2nd largest) purchase most people make.

You know it's bad when an experienced salesperson cannot explain why certain features are allowed or deleted when various changes are made. There were several examples of that. One that I recall was the fender flares. They could be ordered with some option packages but not others. It made no sense to us or the sales person.

Sadly, that's about what I expected.

As far as I know, the hood insulation was NOT discontinued. Our BL (ordered Dec, delivered March) has it. Many forum members report that their BS it. Unlike the engine cover, it is not just cosmetic. Your BL should have come with it. You might contact Ford again (I am going to re: the headrests). Do you have a case number from Ford?

Don't forget your state AG's office.

3 months is a long time. It sounds like they are just stringing you along, as our dealer did/is doing with me.

One other thought -- I read that someone here in MD had luck with the MVA. Apparently they regulate the auto dealers in some way. In any case, you might contact your MVA/DMV or whoever regulates dealers in your state.
What does the hood insulation look like? Might you have a pic?

Well, got the dealer to write me a check for the dash panel at least. No luck on the engine cover. I said my piece and told them about the missing parts everyone on here has noticed and linked them. Who knows if they’ll actually give a crap but I warned them more and more people will be bringing these up and how they should do right by the customers.
