8F35 trans service intervals

I believe the BS uses the same trans as the edge and escape, 8F35. He is recommending oil service interval every 30k miles. Built in non replaceable filter seems to be the driving factor in his recommendation.

I brought this up and caught flack. I did all my initial services at 20k to get any break in material out of my trans,diff and PTU. After that im going to services them every 30k.

Well I’m only at 6000 miles but I plan on following this to a T !!!

There is always an opportunity for harm when you perform maintenance. People make mistakes.

I'm sticking to the maintenance schedule provided by the manufacturer. I also have an Escape where everyone was telling me to change it every 30k or risk catastrophic transmission failure (all the doom and gloom). Currently at 90k and still going strong. Lifetime PT warranty on both.

I'd be afraid to run the vehicle without the airbox per the Ford tech's video to warm up the tranny fluid because it might throw a code. For him it's no problem because he could clear the code, but for us maybe not so easy.
