So with the new engines: is the HP the same on the 4 and the 3 cyl? Is the towing # the same? I do enjoy Alex, but sometimes I don't have the time!

OK-- made the time. Looks like the 4 pot has 238 HP and the 3 still has 180. No info on gas mileage. Tow rating his higher for the 4 up to #2700.

Hate the lack of physical buttons on the 25. One thing about actual buttons is I don't need reading glasses to know what they are. A screen? The faux buttons will be more difficult to differentiate if close vision is poor. Maybe the fake buttons are larger than they look in reviews? I wonder if there is any hepatic type feedback when you touch them so you know you've hit the target!

I dunno. Seems like the 2025 is just our 21-24 with some of the upgrades we have already done (not much) and a bit more flashiness.

I guess if you are new to the game it saves a grand or two. But…. Now that they are 10-15+k more expensive than what I paid in 2021…. I think I made out like a bandit :) but… that’s just my opinion.

don’t forget the 2.0 now comes with a very expensive particle filter that will require replacement…

Not sure about the 2.3L going into the Bronco Sport, but I do know that my '24 Badlands is much faster than I anticipated. Never get left at a traffic light. If I'm heavy on the pedal, the rear tires "chirp" as the auto 4wd checks in even in normal! as for the gauges, mine are all digital except for HAVC controls and it's much better than the First Edition Mustang I drove for 3 years

The jmc6000 YouTube video calls the MPC 1.5L, 2L and 2.3L engines ā€œbulletproofā€. Maybe that includes the 1.5L water pump (!) and based on info about the semi-closed block design sounds like coolant intrusion into the cylinders might be a solved issue. Interesting info regarding a ā€˜built-in a catch can’ as well.
From everything I've read, the MPC line are SUPPOSED to have many of the flaws found in the Ecoboosts work out. Their architecture is supposed to be more robust also.

A bunch of the upgrades on the 25 were supposed go be on the 22+ models. The fender tie downs, switches, shocks and a few others. I'm not sure if they were supposed to be stand alone or actual options.

most of that tho (maybe not the tiedowns) aren’t really anything you can’t do to a 21-24. Most of the things you cant

It’s not something that makes me want to upgrade. It’s not like DJI where the next drone has stupid cool features and you can’t make them addons. Now… big Bronco?? I might be convinced to upgrade to that if you made the $$ make sense. Or at least almost make sense. Or just be doable but stupid decision making. Hahaha.

Let’s hope so… Ford needs to stop the bleeding and reduce warranty claims below the estimated $25 million per DAY, across all platforms so, let’s hope the new MPC architecture is a step in the right direction

From what I have read, they addressed alot of the issues that were in the previous Dragon engines and unlike the Dragon engine, its not a revamped European engine but a from scratch Ford developed engine which generally fairs better then when they use someone elses technology. The last purpose built engine was the 6.7L which is proving to be one of their best engines. They replaced a number of plastic parts including the valve cover with fabricated metal or aluminum parts and added in the oil vapor separator which basically puts the oil back in the engine rather than it being reintroduced into the cylinder which caused buildup. They also redid the cylinder walls and how the coolant is managed to prevent coolant from mixing with the oil or vice versa which was a problem with some of the previous 1.5L engines.
