2 Months after Purchase of 2024 Bronco Sport Badlands

The 4Runner is a tired design and needs a new generation. badly, IMO.

Looked at a 4Runner before I went ahead with my BSBL purchase. Got to drive it, the V6 felt so underpowered it reminded me of the old trucks that had V8's in them; couldn't move to get out of their own way! The mark up on the 4Runner was also ridiculous and so sad, because its a "Toyota". Lest not mention the toddler 2007 styled interior inside of the truck as well. They offer nothing except good durability and the obvious Body-on-frame design as the BS had the Unibody which is beefed up and drives like a truck as well. Moral is 4Runner looks really nice on the outside for sure and will last a good amount of time. has some advantages for off-roading but poor MPG's to boot as well.

My first post listed an issue with not being able to disable the autolock feature. Ford responded with a case# and never did anything so I contacted a company here in the Phoenix area that has Forscan and comes out to your location and makes the change...amen! Consider this: It cost me over 2K to bring this vehicle up to par with a great deal left out by Ford and this includes an autostop eliminator, engine cover, hood lifts, wireless android dongle, side molding, hood deflector, chrome exhaust tips, rear step, and offroad kit selfmade (tow rope, tire pump and deflator, first aid kit, Zoleo satellite unit,etc). I also have the name of a great wheel damage repair guy when the wheels get damaged (scrapped or dinged) when off road. Added a list of offroad recovery services that take text from the satellite communications (Zoleo). Ford should get onboard with offering a lot of these in a package and call it the "Premium Offroad Package" I am sure many of you could contribute ideas to this as well. Pictures of some of the mods are attached. PM me if you want some contact info.

I like, when I got my 2021 Outer Banks one couldn't get the Badlands.

I still have my 20 year old Exterra with 233,000 miles on it. I bought the Bronco Sport to replace it. There is no way this little Bronco can even compare to the X. That's an amazing off road vehicle. I'm not selling it. In fact I drove it again for 3 weeks while my 2 1/2 year old Bronco got a new rear differential to the tune of $3,000. It pains me to say this but the little Bronco will never last and I'm very sorry I bought it. With everything I put into it to make it work off road ie lift, tires, skid plates etc and now the differential, I could have bought the 4Runner that I really wanted.

Any idea what caused the rear diff to fail? Just curious.

They couldn't say what caused it other than one or two of the internal bearings decided it was done. They assured me it was nothing I had done to cause it, just bad luck. Who knows..

Looks like you’re missing some weatherstripping on the sides of the hood.
check to see if you have the one on the front of the hood like my pics.

Many cars did not come with the hood side weatherstripping. Whether it is a trim specific deletion or supply chain limitation is impossible to say.
My neighbor and her parents both have '23 Big Bends and neither has the hood side weatherstrips.
My '24 BS BL did NOT come with the hood side weatherstrips, and I added them.

There is a thread on this elsewhere in the forum. I checked and on my '24 Badlands the side stripping is missing as was pointed out by
