  1. Bronco Sport tops Consumer Reports' "Most Reliable Compact SUV" list

Having known a couple of people who work at Consumers Union, while also working for brands that have had products reviewed, the speculation that CR is pay-to-play is simply untrue.
  2. Bronco Sport tops Consumer Reports' "Most Reliable Compact SUV" list

Yeah, especially surprising for the BS with it being a first year model. The vast majority of the vehicles on that list have been out for at least one model year. I believe the only all-new-for-2021 model was the Tucson.
  3. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

Finally received the rear splash guards that were ordered over three weeks ago and lost in the FedEx network somewhere in SoCal. Lost long enough that Ford refunded the purchase and I reordered (the replacement set will be listed in the classifieds upon receipt). Funny, they were just...
  4. Bronco Sport tops Consumer Reports' "Most Reliable Compact SUV" list

This just landed in my mailbox today, and I was pleasantly surprised at how the Bronco Sport ranked. I assumed it'd finish mid-pack (not that we have had any issues with our Outer Banks, but Toyota and Honda set a very high bar for reliability overall). The BS is also Consumer Reports' pick for...
  5. Ford Bronco Sport engineer reveals SUV's smallest design secrets - via Detroit Free Press

Not only does it give the vehicle a little more character, but those bulges also give the hood a lot more rigidity. Note that I am admittedly playing armchair engineer here.
  6. What are people attaching to their molle straps?

Just a $10 "tacticool" LED flashlight and a Gerber pocket knife here. Stuff that'd otherwise be in the glovebox on virtually any other vehicle. They're on the back of the passenger seat, so easily reached by the driver. I do keep an Opinel knife and an LED flashlight in my Sprinter's dashboard...
  7. co-pilot 360 vs 360+

Interesting feedback. We live in a semi-rural area and have only driven the OB locally at night thus far. I realize it can be different in an urban/suburban setting with more traffic and scattered light. Overall I find the LEDs to be fantastic at casting bright, white light, and I say that...
  8. co-pilot 360 vs 360+

Granted we've only had ours for less than a month, but they have not operated outside of how I would use brights independently of the tech. Will be interesting to see how it performs on our forthcoming ≈2500 mile round trip to CO and back.
  9. co-pilot 360 vs 360+

Out of curiosity, why do you not like the auto high beams? I find that they work exceptionally well.
  10. Ford Bronco Sport engineer reveals SUV's smallest design secrets - via Detroit Free Press

Ha, I have yet to experience that, but will likely do so on the first big holiday road trip in a few weeks.
  11. Ford Bronco Sport engineer reveals SUV's smallest design secrets - via Detroit Free Press

This popped up over the long weekend, A good read. https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2021/11/24/ford-bronco-sport-features-molle-seat-straps-military/8631077002/
  12. Whats your BS's name and why

Our Area 51 OB is "Blucifer," after the nickname given to the creepy/cool statue at Denver International Airport. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Mustang
  13. Say Hello and Introduce Yourself! ?

Looks great! Ours is an Outer Banks and it's only the second vehicle we have had that she literally hugged. Waiting for the rear splash guards to arrive so I can mount them up and then take some proper photos. Enjoy!
  14. Upset over missing engine cover!

Our OB had a build date of 10/21 and no engine cover.
  15. Say Hello and Introduce Yourself! ?

With used car prices absolutely bonkers, a few weeks ago realized that I could easily sell my wife's 2010 Prius for what we paid for it three years and 30k miles ago. We had started looking at Prius Primes, then Subaru Crosstrek PHEVs, and then found ourselves at the local Ford dealer to check...
