Glad they stuck to their original quote. At least the work was done to a high standard. Even with all the interior trim pieces they had to remove to run the wiring, everything was properly snapped back together.
The service advisor was astounded that Ford didn't make the wiring harness...
Hello - free to good home (or bad home, it really doesn't matter to me), the rear impact bar, no longer needed as a receiver hitch was installed. Must pick up in Sonoma County, CA.
I'd rather give it away than pitch in the recycling bin.
So I had a $25 eBay gift card and decided to spend it on some stupid little things, including this 1:64 Bronco Sport die cast from Greenlight collectibles. $7.99 + $4 shipping. Quite nicely detailed for a 1:64 (typical Hot Wheels size), inexpensive die cast.
Remember decades ago when domestic automakers were too cheap to install rear wipers on wagons, but you could get a "spoiler" to direct air across the back glass to help keep it cleaner?
I'll say that our BS and Sprinter both collect a ton of filth on the rear glass compared to previous cars...
Yes, as others have stated, it's the LED headlamp cooling fans. They'll often run for a few minutes after shutting the car off. Guessing how long they run is based on how long it takes the lamp housings to get to a predetermined temp.
Well, not *today*, but we did the first proper road trip, driving it ≈1200 miles to Colorado's Front Range for the holidays. Averaged 27.8 MPG (according to the trip computer) while driving mostly at 80MPH, often with a lot of head and crosswinds.
Shot taken at some random ranch exit in Nevada.
It's absolutely nutty, and the first time ever where a new car actually *gained* value driving it off the dealer lot. I have found comparable OBs on CarMax and Carvanna's websites with 5k more miles and with asking prices $7-8k more than what we paid for ours.
For what it's worth, I am still tempted to order this for myself. Just having a tough time rationalizing it when a Maverick Hybrid would be far more sensible for my wants and needs.
Just a word of warning for those who place orders thru the accessories.ford website - they do not have their act together in the least bit.
I initially took advantage of the 15% discount (code FORD15) for front and rear splash guards, along with all-weather mats. The front guards and mats...
I did a double take while riding past the local Enterprise rental lot this morning, as they have a moonroof-equipped Big Bend in their rental fleet. Hangtag on the mirror and barcode on the windshield show that it's not just a customer or employee's car that was left overnight.
