First, use an iron remover. You will be surprised how much crud is already on the paint! Then clay bar, then use a wax or spray coating of some sort for protection. Below are my go-to products.

Easy to use paint sealant...
Mine came with the optional 18s, how it was ordered from the dealer. They are fine with me, my BS is a pavement pounder anyways. I fitted larger falken wildpeaks for durability and looks. Out of the two I like the optional 18s vs the 18s on the outer banks. Kinda indifferent really, I would have...
I have been doing 5k intervals on all of my cars for years now. With the BS I do 5k intervals with a Motorcraft filter and their synthetic blend oil. 3k is a bit old-school and just wasteful. Engines are way more efficient these days. Heck, 5k is still probably overkill.
Sync 4 has built-in wireless Android auto and Apple car play, and a couple of other connected features. The baked-in GPS/Nav from Ford is utterly useless. I don't care what version of sync I have just as long as it has Android Auto.
Without a doubt, the BS 1.5 engine has a chain. For me, just the way the valve cover is bolted on and RTV'ed to the timing cover/engine mount tells me it's an oil bath chain.
A quick search turned up this old thread with a timing diagram...
Gotta thank that 8-speed trans for the 1.5 performance. Only on the highway at speed 70mph+ does the 1.5 feel a little weak. Don't get me wrong it will get going, but you have to kinda plan your passes. More than enough power for what I need it to do though. I'm happy with the MPG. On my last...
I do not use one. Sorry should have been a little more clear. Out of the 4 cars I had and the two I currently have, never had scratches, never used a screen protector. It's not like it's a phone rattling around in your pocket. Just don't see the need for one.
Had an Escape for work, we sold the wife's car to carvana for a profit, the wife hated driving the escape, so we got the BS. The only condition I really had was AWD and Co-Pilot 360+, my Escape was missing both of those. Out of all the other smaller SUVs the BS also looked the best.
Well yeah we have control of what we spend our money on.
The issue is these manufactures post huge earnings yet keep raising prices, cutting production, creating shortage. As consumers, these corporations are taking advantage and winning big.
17k on my Big Bend no mechanical or electrical issues. Had to track down a couple of rattles but that's it.
Sometimes this forum seems like a complaint board. I feel like many of the complaints are legitimate but some owners seem so entitled and have unrealistic expectations. Like anything man...
I went with 245/60/18 falken wildpeak a/t trail. I like the look at the 18s. I'm out mostly pounding pavement, wanted something a little more durable when I go to events and roads up to trailheads. Lost a couple mpg but overall a great riding tire. Nice and quiet on the highway and good wet...
What is the AG going to do? Whether you knew if you hit something or not, that's clearly damage from an object strike. Something physically hit it and broke it. Stuff happens. It's just unfortunate they didn't properly diagnose it the first time.
Going to be ordering these ones of these days...
Frustrating indeed. Is there another dealer in the area that would be willing to look at it? Shouldn't have to do that but some dealers are just incompetent. I had the same TSB on my Escape done but the brakes felt fine after, was just the brake dust that was out of control with the new pads.
Antying on the paperwork about bleeding the system? Maybe they introduced some air in the lines? Does the rear parking brake set ok? I know my focus has verbiage about servicing the rear brakes and having to pull the parking brake several times while bleeding. I don't have a BS service manual...
Do you have auto hold turned on? Center console button with the hand printed on it. That feature holds the brakes when you come to a stop at a stop light or stop sign. How many miles since they worked on the rear brakes? Could take some time for the pads to bed in so they won't be as powerful...
