Yupe watch it this morning. Been doing 5k intervals for YEARS on all of my cars. Never rely on the manufacture or dummy light. I don't care about all of the engineering Ford put into developing the oil reminder system.
A lot of consumers purchase those maintenance plans and they are stuck with...
Are they talking about the valve cover or a secondary assembly under the valve cover that holds the cams? Interesting little engine.
"The camshafts of the 1.5L EcoBoost engine are no longer to be replaced as a single service part in the case of a repair but as a module consisting of the two...
That building is just a corporate building in Lake Mary, did the fire alarm inspection for years in that place. Most AAA services are farmed out to third party providers. Never had a tow with my AAA but did have to use the lockout assistance for a friend, didn't wait long at all. The only time a...
Again their "ECU" just modifies sensor data to trick the stock ECU, like I said. With a flash tuner, the tuner has true control of the real unmodified sensor data and ECU programming, timing tables, available fuel types. Glad it works for you.
I rather just go with a full custom tune. Proper fuel and timing tables. This device just tricks the ECU. I guess the logic is you won't void your warranty? Sure you don't overwrite the base map but I'm willing to bet Ford can still see the parameters are out of spec and will still void your...
Exactly this. It's man made after all. Is it more susceptible to cracking due to cost cutting, poor engineering, materials? Who knows.
It seems like Ford did think of liquid fuel being present in that general area. The recall "tube" just plugs into an existing hole in the head and extends down...
Most dealers will give you a loaner if the car is in for warranty/recall work and parts are not available. Not always, but I have always gotten a loaner in those cases from my local dealer over the years.
I'm more concerned about shitty drivers injuring me then this recall fix. If you smell raw...
Essentially all appearance protection plans cannot be canceled. Once the product is applied then it's yours. It's 100% a profit center for the dealer. Dealers love non-cancellable products like appearance protection, the dealer isn't responsible for chargebacks due to cancellations. Some of the...
No I would not. It was a 1996 Ford Contour 4cyl. It never left me stranded, it was just bleh to look at and bleh to drive with it's slush box automatic.
There should be a little white card in the glovebox with the code on it. You can lock and unlock the door with that code or change it in the Sync menu. I leave the key inside the car when I go out to ride or hike and just use the code to gain entry. Wish my other car had it.
Road, Gravel, Mountain bike riding/racing. Try to get in 8-12 hours in a week of training or just getting in a nice mellow ride in. More than a hobby at this point, more of a lifestyle lol.
I would start with a data log as you mentioned before and see what the AITs are. I am curious to see that also. I just don't think a larger intercooler on a BS will do much of anything. Even on my old Fiesta ST with an upgraded DEPO intercooler, during normal driving around town, there was...
You won't gain any additional HP. You will gain more consistent power because the larger intercooler is able to cool the charged hot air more efficiently. I haven't seen how the packaging is on the BS with the bumper off, how much extra room is there without having to hack things up? It's a BS...
Just over 20k on mine with no issues. 5k oil changes. Like others have said check coolant. Before any of my monthly work trips I pop the hood and give it a look over.
No regrets here getting the 1.5, it does just fine even in the NC/SC hills. Only feels underpowered when I give it the beans...
