My '88 Bronco II had that as well. The Bronco II was a larger/taller vehicle so the outside mounted tire worked well. I don't think it works with the Bronco Sport; just my simple opinion.I owned a 1983 Bronco II, Black w/Red interior, 2.8L V6 5speed, it had a outside tire carrier that swung to the side to let the gate to open
I don't know if it's just the angle from where the photo was taken, but it appears to block your license plate... probably get cited a time or two for that one. #justsaying

Between needing to open the rear hatch regularly and no added clearance by relocating the spare, I’m not seeing any practical benefit, at least in my case.
What about the rear camera or installed cameras in the back windows? Not a good idea...
