Cost for battery upgrade to AGM

For anyone that’s still running the regular lead acid battery and curious how much for dealer to install agm here ya go.
Washington state. Idk how across the board labor prices are.

Most auto parts places will swap it for free if you don't have the means to do it yourself, and charge a whole lot less for the battery.

This was the cheapest battery I could find And assumed parts stores wouldn’t be interested in removing radiator cowl and air filter housing/if I trust them to . so my logic was $40 in labor was worth the 30 minutes I would have spent doing the install plus it’s better if the dealership screws up than if I do. Haha

If you qualify you can have the battery replaced for free if your Sport doesn't already have a AGM battery installed.

I think it's worth $40 bucks to have Ford do the R&R, you don't have to get your tools out, get your hands dirty or deal with the old battery.

I keep forgetting that the ‘25’s are insanely simple to replace. That, and they came with AGM from the get-go.

40 dollars for labor blows my mind. My dealership charges 120 per hour with a minimum of one hour.

That seems about correct. Took them 10 minutes to change the battery and about the same to reset the BCM.

If it takes 10 minutes in NY, you still pay the full 1-hour labor fee. It's pretty wild here.

I paid $225 for a new AGM battery for my F150 at O’Reilly’s. They installed it for free while I watched.

I’m new to Bronco Sports. I didn’t know it was that involved to replace a battery in previous models. Who thought that was a good idea?

Definitely more than just 2 screws holding the bracket down lol plus you gotta be sure to reset your battery management system

Wal-Mart has a high quality AGM battery with a 4 year warranty for only 179.00. All this talk about paying someone to change it is foreign to me. It is truly very easy and only have to disconnect/move a few things with simple tools.

If labor wasn’t $40 I 100% would have myself. But that’s cheap enough that I’ll pay it as a convenience fee lol
