I’ve only driven my Broncos sport less than 2500 miles and I have a change oil warning come on every time I start the car up. Is there a way to turn off these warnings? Thanks.

The big question is why is your warning light coming on at 2500 miles? Is your car sitting for a long time? Don't drive it much? Has it been a year? If thats the case change the oil and reset the oil life in the settings.

I drive it three times a week to go to the gym. As well as the local store and to the beach. Everything is local so I don’t really add up on the Miles. Do you think I still need to change the oil? Thanks

Yes I would get it changed. I don't drive mine much either as I work from home, but regardless I always change oil at least once a year no matter where my miles are at. If you're being told to change it there's a reason and will keep your engine healthy especially with a turbo engine.
The oil life can be reset in the settings which is the only way to get rid of the message.

Go to the Oil Life screen and hold the OK button on the wheel. It will reset to 100%.

How long have you had the vehicle?

How long has the oil been in the vehicle (timewise)? To reset Oil Life:
On the right steering wheel buttons, scroll to the "Information" (picture of Bronco Sport).
Press Menu button
Scroll to "Oil Life" and hit "OK"
then press and hold "OK" to reset.

Cheers!

You never answered the question, how long have you had your car?

if its been a year it’s time to change the oil regardless of miles. Especially if the vehicle sits more and isn’t driven for longer periods where the internals get hot enough to burn off any moisture that has collected in the engine. Oil and water don’t mix.

I change mine religiously every 3k (which ends up being twice a year). That being the case, I never had that warning. A local shop does mine using Gulf synthetic and a Napa Gold filter for $40. Cheep insurance if you ask me. They did try to sell me a "flush" for $200 the 1st time I was there. I told them if I was concerned about sludge, I'd drop the pan and clean it out myself.

I change oil every 2000 in all my vehicles including the diesels. 450K on the 7.3.

I had my oil changed at 13 months and 3600 and my warning was on. Once a year is fine with me. I went to a local oil change place, and they would not us my oil. I bought a 5 qt jug of Mobile synthetic 5w30 and 2 qt bottles of the same and took them back where I bought them from. My only concern was they used Pennzoil synthetic, and I am not a fan of Pennzoil. Next oil change, I'm going to change it myself. $124 and change was a little steep for an oil change, however I was able to use my own Motorcraft filter I still don't have 3900 miles on it.

Until I got turbo's, I used synthetic oil and changed my oil once a year whether it needed it or not. My boss used to run 25,000 miles before changing oil. No problems. I'm not convinced that with modern oils it is necessary to change the oil often. I've read that turbos run dirty, so I'm changing oil more often these days, but stilll go at least 5000 miles between changes.

I was told once that the worst thing you can do to an engine is start it up and turn it off before it has warmed up. I never do that.
