I have a BS Badlands. I have until a couple of days ago had zero issues and have greatly enjoyed my Bronco for about 8800 kms (Canadian vehicle). Anyway, Saturday parked at the local baker, came out of the store, opened the Bronco and found an array of displays popping up: overheated, tire sensor malfunction, traction control, airbags, etc. actually, you name it everything was flashing. In addition, the Bronco wouldn’t start and the gear selector kept flashing in Park and wouldn’t move.

I called my dealer. They said they didn’t know what could be happening. Eventually I pushed and held the start button and perhaps doing so reset whatever was happening and the Bronco started. I drove it directly to the dealer. I’m hoping they can figure out/repair the problem.

Have others experienced anything like this? If so, how was the problem fixed? Thanks

Literally had the same thing happen to me. Posted about it on this site when it happened. Took it to the dealer and it had 20+ error codes, yet they couldn’t get it to repeat. They were in contact with Ford engineering during that time, so all of it is documented. I had just left a car wash, so they speculated that some high pressure water may have gotten inside a connector and caused it to react. Haven’t had a single problem since then, and it’s never done it since. Make sure it’s documented at the dealer so if there is an issue down the line, you’re covered, or at least it may help Ford to find the cause. I have a BS Outer Banks.

I picked up my BS from the dealer. I’m told it’s fixed. Apparently they, “cleared all codes,” “updated sync and master reset of apim,” (think that’s the audio module) and, “reprogrammed gear shift module.” Seems to be running fine now but I’m still a little apprehensive. Fingers crossed.

In addition, I have noticed the brakes making a grinding sound when reversing. The dealer has order, “BRF 1913 kit - brake lining” and, “BRF 1954 pad - brake.”

I had the same problem with my Maverick. At 400 all the lights on the dash came on. Went to dealer and they had no idea what it was. Happened again at 1800 miles. This time I am 150 miles from home. Went to the dealer and the tech thought it might be loose wires but wasn't sure. Told me if it happened again to turn off the car and then try to restart.
I had enough. Sold the car to VROOM. The next day on the Ford Pass App all the lights came on again. Never found out what was wrong with the vehicle.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end. Thank you!

My Dealer is: Family Ford

the dealer was very helpful and accommodating. Provided a loaner car from the time I took the Bronco in 03/12
until I picked it up on 03/14.

Hi I just had this happen to me. I went to wash my car, then get had to get gas for the lawn mower. When I tried to restart my Bronco Sport outer banks every light came on advanced trac, no hill side assistance, car over heating, low tire pressure ,no driver assistance, no coolant , low battery, blind system fault, low fuel. I tried to take pictures of them. I called road side assistance and my friend to pick it up. Finally it started and I was able to drive it home like nothing happened . I’ve already had issues because my advanced trac has come on several times saying I have no driver assistance or hill side assistance. They could not figure out was was wrong.

Hi, after I had that problem, the dealer couldn’t be certain what happened; but to their credit, the gave me a loaner and kept the Bronco for a couple of days. They did something to the entertainment system (reprogrammed I think). Anyway, it’s been working great ever since. Good luck.

My first thought with that amount of errors at one time is to charge the battery and then get it tested.

Did you get it reset or just waiting until a dealer open?
