ChatBS is being rolled out in 2028 that will allow the vehicle to think better about what it is doing and avoid these situations. Not long after that, all vehicles will begin culling their drivers and passengers. :frown:
When a driver/passenger gets slaughtered for being old and useless, I'll ride a bike more often.

I am experiencing the same issue. Last Thursday, my BS Badlands would not start. I opened the door and all the lights turned on like normal but when I tried to start, I received a parking brake malfunction and all the lights flickered and it died. I manually released the parking brake but still no luck. I called Ford roadside assistance and the tow truck driver tested the battery and it tested green. He hooked up the jump box and I was able to start it. The next morning, I took it to the dealership (Demontrond Ford, Cleveland, Texas) and after being there for 6 hours they told me it was a malfunctioning key fob causing the issue. I felt this was crap so when I drove home, I parked in the street as a precaution. Later that evening, I tried starting it with my other key fob (you know since the other was “malfunctioning”) and the BS was dead. The dealer service department was closed by this point so I called first thing the next morning. They told me to call their preferred tow company and have it towed to the dealership. The driver experienced the same issue but this time we could not get it to start. Unfortunately, since we could not get the parking brake to disengage, he had to drag it onto the truck. I called the dealership to let them know the drivers struggles and also to let them know the vehicle had to be dragged so to check if there was any damage caused from that. Flash forward to Monday, I called the dealership and was told the tech working on the vehicle was out sick so no troubleshooting was conducted. I called again the next day and was told the tech was still having issues diagnosing the problem and to call back the next day. I called the next day around noon and was told the tech could not figure out the issue and reached out to Ford for assistance. I called back later that evening and was told the tech followed the advice of Ford and reset some module that supposedly fixed everything. I am a little apprehensive picking up my vehicle today because I feel they haven’t fixed the issue but reading the other posts in this thread, these steps should do the trick. Also, I have been without a vehicle since Saturday because the dealership is out of loaners. All in all, this experience makes me not want to purchase another Ford again. My BS is only 1.5 years old but since it is still under the original factory warranty all this is covered.

My Badlands exhibited various electrical issues.
Dash lighting up like Christmas, random stalling, random no start, various random system warnings, auto start stop not functioning etc. Dealer replaced the original lead acid FoMoCo battery with a Motorcraft AGM under warranty, all the electrical anomalies were solved.

Forgot to update you guys. I had the car towed to a different dealership who were amazing Oro Ford (formerly Oracle Ford). They had it for a couple days. It was working fine one day and then it quit on them and they were able to run a diag on it. Long story short it was a defective battery core. So they replaced the battery and it was all covered under warranty so it saved me a couple hundred bucks.

Seems the battery comes into play with many service problems. Crap batteries. I'll give it a year or two and buy a better quality battery if the stock one lasts that long.

2021 Big Bend, 50000 miles. This (exactly)occurred last night. Disconnected battery for 5 minutes, reconnected and the problem disappeared. Reset clock, all good today.

I am curious as to whether the ones with battery issues are infrequently used or daily drivers.
