We have a winner! I ordered 11-1 and got built right on Schedule 1-24. You got yours quicker. There must be dealer allocation involvement here with so many people having ordered back in October with no info yet and us being built and even shipped in your case having ordered well after them. Not gonna lie I feel a bit guilty.
I’m in FL too with the same BL build date as yours. Have u been tracking by rail? ETA on mine is 2/6-2/12 but it’s been sitting on a rail car, unmoved for almost a week in N FL.
Thanks Rick, that seems like quite the quick timeline. Happy for you, enjoy it when it comes! Interesting my first thought was perhaps you didn’t have some some of the choices I did, but no, your build is just as mine. Package, towing, & 360. All the things you’d think could hold something up.
Don’t feel guilty. Yes dealer allocation could be huge here & none of us know how that works or have any influence over it. Even the dealer, all they can do is bump up your priority to move to the front of their line (which I don’t think they did for me as I’m a more ordinary repeat customer as opposed to their best customers) but after that, there’s a computer scheduling system’s worth of factors that go into the magic cauldron to come up with a build order. For everyone waiting, I’m just glad we’re not like those in 21.
Interesting thought. You sir have chosen one awesome color combo! Same as me. As outgoing a choice you can get while sticking to the 50 shades of gray that modern cars usually come in. I didn’t think color would have an outsized impact on scheduling (of course it might affect a batch or two), but maybe it is a bigger factor in delays than I thought. Already it seems people (perhaps just on here) choose the BS in more interesting colors than most cars, so perhaps even silver is a rarer color than you might think.
I agree with @MJE , I don’t believe color will cause any significant delay but who knows these days. We are having issues without plater/anodizer but that’s a labor issue, not a material issue. Most of the issues with the vehicles are related to computer chips. Not all though. I have a 2 door Bronco on order and the MIC top and modified bumper are issues and no chips in those!
What was the date on your window sticker if you don’t mind sharing?
Yep it seems very random. Some people get hooked up and it’s straightforward enough others are left wondering what in the fuck is going on for months.
Your window sticker gives me mad hope for a mid March build. You have all the same options we ordered sans the tow package. Only other difference is color. The fact you have 360 tells us that's not the chip issue we are hearing about. Or one would hope.Don’t mind at all
Wow - ordered a month + after me and I've heard nothing about a build date - when is @Ford Motor Company r gonna figure out how to read order dates and actually build them in some sort of logical order? This couldn't be any more frustrating if they tried.
I ordered 9/24 but has been in the shipped status for a long time! My dealer said it was stuck in Chicago (I'm in NC) so I wouldn't count on an earlier delivery date since I have heard of truck driver shortages. I was supposed to have a delivery date of 1/23-1/29 and now that has been pushed to 2/3 with still no update other than "SHIPPED" on the tracker. And my dealer still doesn't have any update for me. I know it was last in Chicago but that's it.
