Weren’t the factory Falken 235s 11/32” when new? Even if not there was enough of a difference as to not fit without letting out air or pushing down hard then probably couldn’t easily remove (for the AT4Ws 235)I didn’t realize there was that much difference in diameter.

Your pic should the spare with a badlands rim and I mounted on the factory spare rim, just another difference that shouldn’t matter
The attached spec is for the OEM tire (FO) at the end. The outer diameter is correct. At least in my 22 Badlands, I could put a slightly larger tire in as there is some extra space even with the Falken 235/65-17. So, maybe the steel rim is the issue as it is narrower.
I might have to wait on this. I've been checking Craigslist and can't find an OEM 1st gen Big Bend wheel. eBay is $200-260 shipped... a bit out of my price range for my needs and the risks involved with eBay.

I’ve used EBay quite a bit over the past 15 years or so and have never had any issues. Now in full transparency, I’ve never bought a car or motorcycle off of it, normally just parts.
Yeah I've used them too, usually for smaller things. It might turn out ok but I'd hate to pay $250 and get a damaged rim, then have to deal with all that. And then maybe never even need to use the full size spare.
I get it. I normally look for free shipping and returns allowed. I did see some for 192, but that’s still a lot if you are not planning on using it in your normal tire rotation. I also got mine immediately in 2022 so more than likely a take off and not from a wrecked vehicle.

good to know the 245/65/17. Is the tire fully inflated and it fits fine but snug?
Be careful. That's not my experience. While I did get the 246/65/17 to fit in there, I had to air it down to like 10 psi to get it to drop all the way down in the well and allow the cargo cover to fit properly.
Snug is an understatement. Maybe my 245/65/17 is a little taller than jhnvan's.
Mine is fully inflated but it's very snug. But that also means that it doesn't rattle around when i go in the bush. I had to remove the felt inside the tire well.
I removed the felt too, and it still wouldn't fit inflated, so I decided to put the felt back and air down. I have an air compressor on board so I'm not worried about it being low on air if I need to use it.
Maybe it's just slight difference in size between our tire brands/models. Obviously it doesn't take much change in tire (or well!) diameter if it only requires a 25psi change in pressure to make the difference between go and no go.
By the way, mine is a very tight fit too at 10psi.

Yup, 245/65 on 17” “steelie” just fit on my ‘21 BL — after removing the felt liner and dropping air pressure a lot (don’t remember the exact psi). I carry an air pump, so don’t worry about needing to add air for use.
