Not sure how that's an improvement over just plugging the phone in directly, but hey, it's only $45 and you could always return it if it doesn't work out.

I've not used that specific item. Prior to my Bronco Sport with SYNC4/wireless CarPlay, I used this in my Ford Ranger (SYNC3, wired CarPlay). I found it reliable and quick to connect. I gave it to one of my grandkids for their car once I upgraded to the BS.

It's compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto.

It adds convenience if/when it works. Wife keeps her phone in her purse. I keep mine in my pocket. And no messy wires.

Also, when paying with ApplePay, it was a pain to disconnect the phone from the wired connection, lose your music/audio connection just to pay for a purchase then reconnect.

I really don't do many miles per but I can still go without wires for $45, I'll try it. My wife's HR-V is factory wireless, and I like it. Amazon is great with returns.

I could just mount my iPad Mini for the same functionality, so at the end of the day it's really not something I couldn't live without altogether. I don't listen to the radio or stream music, don't make or take calls/texts while driving, and couldn't tell you a tenth of the apps or widgets there are. Honestly, I'd just as soon turn the whole screen off if it weren't for the climate control.

I'd only use it for the maps. We take a trip to NJ yearly and it would have been a nice addition to the trip. Not necessary but nice. $45 got me interested.

I'm left-handed, so my watch is on my right wrist. I use my watch when I'm in a store or restaurant, but not in the drive-through.

I bought one soon after I got my BS. It lasted a little less than a year and then stopped working. Found out you can repair it by baking in the oven, now it is working again. Works great when it isn't broken. Used velcro and mounted it to top/roof of the cubby hole.

Will this unit work hooked up to a power input in the center console or does it have to be closer to the head unit in the lower cubby hole area? I'd prefer the console hook up.

I do not use the motorola unit but for me and my 2023, I have found the wireless dongle to be more reliable than the wire which tends to be a little flaky. Doesn't make sense but here we are!
