Back in the early 2000's I did some splicing work N/W of Lake Pleasant out N Old Castle Road as a contractor.It looks like we’re getting a real-life “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert“ this weekend. Another inch and a half or so in the Valley expected.
For those not from ‘round here, our average annual rainfall is around 7-8”. The land here just ain’t built for it.

Glendale dodged a bullet with this one. Predicted 3” for both storms, ended up being more like 1.5”. Expected an inch or so Saturday/Sunday, got exactly bupkis. Our pool came up to the bottom of the edge tile, so the autofill gets a few days off.Gilbert got 2.5 inches of rain yesterday. We got back from Pinetop before Globe got clobbered and they closed highway 60. My daughters backyard literally was an infinity pool.

My daughters pool is back just below the tiled deck. Not sure if they have a high level sensor / drain of just drain beneath the tiles. The parks were all lakes yesterday afternoon. Kids were paddle boarding where the soccer/football field was. They probably all have dissentary tomorrow!
