Used it as a temporary playpen for my grandson....lol

Sorry, but these two photos remind me of a street vendor for some reason or another.

Ford Bronco Sport What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today? Ice Cream

Ice cream, ice cream, get your ice cream!
I can imagine the outrage of younger people seeing a child in the back of a car, even if it's parked, and reminisce to the days of our station wagon growing up with a rear seat facing out the back window and no seatbelts as my dad drove hours on the highway for vacations. I wouldn't trade growing up in the 70s-'80s for anything. 3 kids hanging out the back of the wagon and a German Shepherd sleeping in the bed.

That is one adorable baby!

The only trade would be growing up in the 50’s — Ike was in the White House and all was right with the world <lol>

I grew up in the '50s and '60s, and I remember no seatbelts, and rear facing seats in the Plymouth station wagon. My "seatbelt" was Dad's arm reaching across me as he slammed on the brakes. :D

Oh, yeah, and gas wars... paying under 25 cents/gallon for gas!

Eisenhower baby myself.

The dash in mom’s ‘63 Falcon wagon was steel, but her arm was faster than an airbag. She wasn’t worried about me, she just didn’t want me denting that dash with my skull.

Going on trips to the Sierras was me & my sister in the back of dad’s ‘55 Chevy pickup with a shell, lying on top of all the camping gear, and snacking on dry oatmeal.

Good times.

Grandpa had a 1960 Lincoln Continental.

Grandpa would slide open that rear window so my brother and I could sit on the backseat hat shelf with our heads sticking up above the roof line...while grandpa would scream down the road at 100mph.

That is a beaut! Speaking of "how did we survive", my crazy uncle had one of those Subarus (I can't remember the name now) that had sort of like a pickup bed but 2 plastic seats in the back that he would slap us in and do 85 on the highway.

Thanks, it was driving me crazy, and I'm trying not to Google things to keep my brain exercising as I try to figure this stuff out, haha.
There was also the Baja, but that was a four-door and no seats in the bed. Also came about 15 years after the Brat.

Was just looking at pictures of the Brat. What a marvel that was, and I realize now that my uncle was too cheap for the roll bar, so it was even more dangerous riding in that thing. :D

The Subaru Brat. My sister-in-law had one. It was definitely a strange beast.

Haha, I was born in '58 and did all the things. I have some awesome scars.
