Last credit card paid off in 2019, car lease bought out in 2023, mortgage paid off in 2024. One home improvement loan at 0% for four more years that I can pay off any time, but I’d rather do it with future depreciated dollars.
To be honest, we should have been at this point 15 years ago, but I was dumb enough to dig myself into a hole credit-wise for a long time. Six years contracting in Afghanistan and Iraq fixed that right up. And yes, I’ve learned my lesson.

The zero % offer was absolutely a factor in buying the car and I got two rebates from Ford at the time, one for the car, one for accessory credit. The car itself was straight MSRP, which would be considered a deal at the time because no one had stock on anything. About a year later we also got a Hyundai and I took the financing to get the rebate and then paid it off in a month. The interest rates climbed to 6% in that year. Financing the Sport at that rate would be $14,000 in interest!! Even more today with the big price hikes on the whole lineup.
Installed an Auxbeam switch to control lights/accessories. Right now i only have lights on front bullbar but more later planned. located it in the sunglass flip down.
