Because we've been taught over the past few decades to be polarized over EVERYTHING. Disagreement with someone these days over the most trivial things is tantamount to saying "yo mamma."Makes no difference to me which phone you use. Not sure why people are so polarized on this issue.![]()
Watch this video to see how I reduced the noise in 21 Badlands. In addition to what is on the video, I added a rubber strip along the top windshield to cover the gap.I'm tempted to order a 2025 but want to confirm that the 2025 is quieter than the previous years. I do understand I am technically driving a brick down the highway, but I did read that there are some improvements to sound insulation. Has anyone made this move and noticed a change? Would be nice to NOT have my mother bitch about how loud my car is while we are on the phone.![]()
Interesting. I have a '21 Badlands and people comment on how quiet and smooth it is. But that's with all the windows and sunroof closed. With anything open, even a crack, the wind noise is really loud. I can't see anything that would change that besides a body restyling.I'm tempted to order a 2025 but want to confirm that the 2025 is quieter than the previous years. My Badlands is more than 3 years old and pretty much still drives and sounds as new.A brand new out of the plant car build is going to be quieter on a test drive than a 3 year old model no matter how many changes they make to the build and no matter the car.
I had a chance to review the labels on the windshield and front windows of my 2025 BS Badlands. The windshield has a “SoundScreen” logo in the lower left corner as you’re facing the car, which I assume means it has some soundproofing. The front windows, however, have no indication that they are laminated or have any additional soundproofing. Could be another cost-cutting measure by Ford.Maybe someone with a 25 Badlands or any other trim can confirm that their model came with the laminated glass. If not, maybe it was a deleted item for 25.
I was actually at the dealer yesterday and walked the lot. They did have some 25 Badlands. As with my 24 the "Soundscreen" logo is on the lower left as you mentioned. The lower right handside of the windshield has a few rows of writing. Third line down under the Ford logo it says laminated.I had a chance to review the labels on the windshield and front windows of my 2025 BS Badlands. I also agree with the above post about driving with any of the windows open. As soon as you crack open any window the noise increases dramatically. Driving with the windows closed is much quieter.
In the end I get more engine noise than anything else, which I have heard is artificially enhanced through the sound system. I have the Badlands Tech Package which is supposed to include a noise reduction module. Does it work? I have no idea. I haven’t found a way to turn it on or off to make comparisons.
For me the BS is quiet enough where I can enjoy the drive without distraction…unless a window is open.

I believe all automobiles that meet US certification standards must use laminated glass for the windshield. The front windows, however, have no indication that they are laminated or have any additional soundproofing.
That is correct. Has been that way for several decades. Mandated by federal standards.I believe all automobiles that meet US certification standards must use laminated glass for the windshield.
Impressive. I wonder how, if you use it. Mine has rattles and squeaks all over in the side panels, roof and dash. That's not even accounting for any stuff I've stowed in the compartments that makes sound. Every now and then I take measures to minimize one if I can. Even the Ford brand rain deflectors added on have a nasty habit of coming unstuck at some points. In addition the aging brakes, shocks and imperfect tire balances are adding up to more vibrations and sounds as the car operates. While the day I test drove it, it was all silent and buttery smooth. It's not a complaint about the Bronco, just as observation about how things are.My Badlands is more than 3 years old and pretty much still drives and sounds as new.
Thank you JP! I bought the backer rod you recommended and am planning on putting it in this weekend. I have a road trip scheduled next week and am excited to see if it helps!!Watch this video to see how I reduced the noise in 21 Badlands. I would run some of this on the crack as soon as you're done with the backer rod. Super quick and easy.Thank you JP! I bought the backer rod you recommended and am planning on putting it in this weekend. I have a road trip scheduled next week and am excited to see if it helps!!
