Annoying Horn alert

Yeah … At the end of the info / description It’s the smart unlock (Auto Unlock when you pull the door handle to open if doors are locked) that triggers the mislock double-honk. Not sure why it’s called a “mislock” but it’s sure irritating. Just for fun I re-enabled it and sure enough it’s the culprit ….

The only time I get the double honk is when I get out of the vehicle with it running and shut the door. I'm careful not to do that right now, as I have to manually open/close my garage door for the time being.

I know the OP said the vehicle is off.

The only other honk I can think of is pushing the lock button on the remote twice in somewhat quick succession. I think that is only a single honk though.

The double honk is supposed to be a warning that you are opening the door with the engine still running. It's possible that the computer believes the car is still running due to a timing error. Here's an experiment: the next time you shut the car off sit for 10-15 seconds before opening the door.

Mine does it too with the car off but not all the time. Everytime it does do it I'm like WTF? ?

Should always be explainable but could be due to a number of reasons…. See post #9, #13, #15 … with the car off and no extra keyfob in the vehicle those posts cover “everything”
