After reading posts in a couple threads discussing black and dark painted tops and Mark talking about painting his BL wheels, and my post about not liking black wheels, it might be interesting to see what your favorite wheels from any vehicle or era are.

Vehicle design and need is a big factor in what we buy. I think wheels can make or break the looks of any vehicle. As I stated my thoughts before, I'm disappointed with only having black wheels on the 2025 Badlands.

This subject may be interesting or die an ugly death here. We all have opinions so let see and hear them.

Here are 5 choices of wheels I really liked but never had on my cars.

Honestly I think the BL ”steelies” are some of the most creative wheel designs in a long time. They fit the vehicle well & look suitably premium. A worthwhile upgrade for sure. I’m having a hard time picturing other wheels I like quite so much from the current era that really stand out.

I like these also, just in white, standard on the Heritage. The wheels on my 2021 BL are not my choice at all, style or color.

There's only three wheels: Painted steelies, chrome reverse (with baby moons), and Cragar S/S. Everything else is just a pretender. Fight me. ?

Maybe a few more. Those are good choices also. Going way back I also like the Halibrand.

I wish whoever thought it was a good idea to put black wheels on our travel trailer, would swing by and clean them once in a while :p

The grey wheels on our 24 BL though are fine. Don't show dirt too badly and are easy to clean.

My first car was a '55 chevy 210 post 6cyl 3spd stick that a previous owner installed a Hurst "mystery" floor shifter. The mystery was, would it shift into the right gear! Lol! Anyway, I, being a poor kid at the time, thought painting the stock steelies white (car was white over red) with baby moon hubcaps that also came with the car, was cooool. I was a junior in high school circa 1965. Later on, that car went through several transformations, and the last set of wheels I put on it were Mickey Thompson 5 spoke (similar to American Mags) mags in front and deep dish chrome rims with Casler "cheater slicks" out back. I wish I had taken pictures of it, but alas, I only have those fond memories too reflect on. I didn't re-rim many of my rides, opting for the factory setups such as the magnum 500's on my '69 Roadrunner. My '71 Mercury Comet had stock steelies with chrome trim rings and dog dish hubcaps. The only other car I swapped wheels on was my '71 Maverick and those were centerlines that a buddy of mine had stored away. I never could afford custom wheels and truth be told, most of our vehicles back in the day didn't deserve them.
PS: I like the black rims on my BB.

I vote for the top two. I had them both at different points. The polished slots on a Mustang and Keystones on a Camaro. Not a fan of all black wheels. Just my opinion. Everyone should be free to enjoy what they enjoy.

I kind of like these. I also like my Badlands wheels but I'm always a bit jealous when I see the Big Bend wheels.

I too am not a fan of black wheels. They just look like voids to me but that's my own opinion and not intended to sway others.

I don't understand the desire for steelies. They remind me of junkyard cars from the 60's which lost their hubcaps- Cars ready for demolition derby.
Alternately, back in the 60s and 70s, one would see abandoned (possibly stolen) cars without hubcaps along the Dan Ryan and Eisenhower Expressways near Chicago. Oh yeah, They had STEELIES! WOW! In High School, it was the poorer kids who had steel wheels who couldn't afford "mags" or replacement hub caps for their cars.
When I see the aluminum steelies on the Bronco Sport, I think , "that sucks, someone stole your hubcaps!"
To each their own, I guess.
I can’t argue with your logic, in fact that may well be why you don’t see more of them optioned this way. Not everybody sees in them what I do, a vintage 4x4 look. But. Here I’m surprised I don’t have people asking why I run winter tires year round as steelies are most commonly associated with cheap winter rims.

If I ran winter tires I’d look for a set of takeoffs. It seems everybody wants aftermarket rims & I’m not a big fan usually. Keep it OEM. There’s my each to their own wheel opinion, which I suspect most disagree.

I bet you can probably still see things like that on the Dan Ryan!!!

My Hyundai Tucson had these 19 inch rims which I really liked.
