I’m sure this question has been asked but it’s kind of impossible to sort through existing “weird noise” threads that sound similar. I’ve noticed it since I’ve owned it but it almost sounds like it’s getting worse or my brain is just focusing on it more. It happens when accelerating out of first and second gear and sounds like a bb in a can or a weird rattle sound from what sounds like just below and in front of the driver side compartment. It goes away once in higher gears or after being driven for a minute. Curious if anyone might have an idea? I was told my year/model shouldn’t have the parking brake cable issue but I really don’t know. Thanks!!

also, fun fact of the day. Adam sandler drives a sport in his new movie Haha.

Good morning! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this rattle noise concern? Thank you!

Title:Hiss Or Rattle Noise While Driving - Manual Park Release Cable
Summary:Some 2021-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles built on or before 22-Feb-2022 may exhibit a hiss or rattle noise while driving. This may be due to an internal issue with the manual park release cable. If the noise is eliminated when the cable is disconnected from the transmission, install a new manual park release cable assembly. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-05 > Automatic Transmission External Controls > Removal and Installation.

Thank you! The noise is definitely similar although it’s much more intermittent. Like in 1 second spurts immediately following a gear change, instead of more constant. That’s a great example though! Gonna bring this up my next oil change! Thank you!

Did you ever narrow down a solution to this rattle? My wife’s new BS Badlands makes a similar rattle noise and I hate taking vehicles to the dealer to chase noises.

Here is a thread I ended up posting with more details but it ended up being a loose ground. I am pretty positive It had to have been my own doing when I installed my nudge bar lights. Ever since they fixed it at the dealership the sound has totally stopped.
