My points, in a different way of putting it. It boils down to...do you want to fight it? How far are you willing to go? Paying a lawyer? The bottom line is there is ALWAYS some risk when you make a modification to your vehicle. This is especially true for modern vehicles micromanaged by computers. It's simply not possible to fully understand how any given modification will affect the various systems throughout the car.
And For anyone wondering, the bottom of #3 fuse slot is the 12v sidemake sure the tap was positioned correctly (not installed backwards)
if tap is installed backwards the device will operate unprotected
unprotected it will draw as much current as wiring and device allow
Been using no. 3 for footwell lighting no issues with anything. Only very unlikely way I see it could be an issue is if somehow voltage could transfer back through remote wire. But even then it's fused anyways.And For anyone wondering, the bottom of #3 fuse slot is the 12v side
