not very familiar with this company but accidentally stumbled upon this when i was looking on some parts for my bs. Never have I seen any pictures on either the forum or any social media with aftermarket front bumpers on bronco sports. if I am wrong please do correct me but i highly doubt this is a compatible bumper to bronco sport even if this company says it is. It doesn’t even show a bronco sport either on pictures or the video they have.

Unfortunately, if it fits the Bronco it doesn’t fit the Bronco Sport.

Unfortunately, I very much doubt a bumper, especially one w/a winch no less, could be added to the front of the BS.

If anything, your best option may be a portable winch mounted to the rear trailer hitch may be the best, and cheapest, w/that. Probably in the 5000-6000 lb. range.

I agree. What's more, I think it would be dangerous to fit an aftermarket bumper. One of the major differences between body-on-frame vs unibody designs is occupant crash survivability. Unibody designs are far more survivable than body-on-frame designs, mainly due to crumple zones that absorb and redirect impact energy to the unibody structure and away from vehicle occupants.

The "bumper" on a unibody vehicle isn't really a bumper; it's just another part of the unibody structure intended to crumple and fold on impact. That's one of the reasons unibody style vehicles are so easily totaled in relatively minor accidents. It doesn't take much of an impact to bend the unibody, which is great if you want to prevent injuries, but not so great if you are trying to prevent expensive vehicle damage.

If you mount another structure on the front of a Bronco Sport, especially one sturdy enough and attached well enough to handle winch and recovery forces, there's no telling how it will affect the vehicle's crashworthiness as regards occupant protection. Depending on the way it's connected to the unibody, impact forces may not be imparted to the unibody as structural designers intended. Unless you are a structural engineer there's no way to know what or how much force occupants will get, which means you and everyone in the car will be crash test dummies if you have an accident.

I'm still trying to figure who made the bumper on the 1 bronco sport at Sema couple years ago.

I can’t remember the name of the company but I have posted here about it. There was a video of the BS doing offroad challenges versus a Subie. The BS had the aftermarket front bumper and was owned by an owner of the company that made that bumper. Apparently they felt like the relocation of the ECU made it too difficult for a bolt-on application and decided not to go to production with it.

I think the “quality” of the company shows through when they picture their product on the vehicle they specifically call out it doesn’t fit on.

That company is Baja Forged. There are several articles about their sport and that video of it performing. But I believe they also sold that Sport
