Parks Ford in Gainesville Florida gets a big thumbs up for quick and courteous handling of the recall. My appointment was for 8:15 AM. I got there early (7:30) with a breakfast in hand. They had me out by 8:00 AM!

I had asked them to also look at the feature for drifting off to the side and not "rumbling", as that stopped working after we had the oil changed on our last visit. The service rep checked and said the feature was enabled, and that more than likely a camera was not functioning correctly, and I would have to bring it back for a complete diagnosis that could take a day or so. I asked about a loaner, and they said they only have a couple, so it would be a hit or miss on that.

So, I'll have to decide if the feature is worth scheduling around a loaner car availability.

I had the update done at Cam Clark Ford, Red Deer. They were also prompt and courteous, and have a great coffee machine. Lol.

Have you checked the settings for the lane drift warning? There is an adjustment for sensitivity, perhaps it's set to zero?

I will check that. The service advisor did state that he checked the settings, and that they were good, but I'll double check. I would like for this to be a simple thing and prevent me from having down time from work (or personal time), plus the lack of transportation if they have to keep it.

It's been 2 days since we had the reprogramming done and I have noticed she seems to shift smoother and initial launch from stop is more responsive. When we took possession after the work all our settings were unchanged. We used nav, 360+, and ac on the way home. Today was city driving, stop and go traffic. Same action, smoother shifting and throttle response. I'm liking it alot! Now, I don't know if this reprogramming has anything to do with it, but the BS definitely has changed. Oh, and I drive in normal mode almost all of the time.

More than likely a complete reset. The vehicle "learns" your driving habits and adjusts to them. Depending on how you drive, some of those past characteristics could return.

I've had the opposite experience. Even now, 350 miles since the BCM/PCM reprogramming, shifting is very much rougher. Bronco is an appropriate name for the way this thing is bucking through the lower gears.
I drive gently, usually in ECO mode for around town trips.

After the recall was done, we have not noticed any change in its driving characteristics.

Then again, up until this past week, it sat in the garage. Now I'm driving it daily.

You're probably right, Bucko, but I'd like to hope not!

This seems more likely.
After pressing the button twice, first to turn off the feature (as shown in the display behind the steering wheel) then a second time to turn it back on, it all works now. We see the left and right lines in the display, and when we veer to right or left, the line turns red and we feel it in the steering wheel.

Weird that we had to turn it off then on to make it all work again. I'm good though, as I don't have to loose the vehicle for a day to have had it diagnosed.

My update took about 45 minutes. I haven't noticed any difference in shift points or other driving experience.

The local dealer sent a mobile technician to my house to do the programming 10 days ago. Took about 15-20 minutes. So far I’ve noticed zero difference in anything.

Had my Badlands done last week. Only thing is my clock lost an hour. I have a volt meter and the battery recall did lower the charging from 14.9 to 14.4 at initial start. On a 20 mile run the voltage dropped to 12.9. I wonder if the original problem was the alt. overcharging?

Forgot to mention the shop computers were not affected by the HACKER a/holes.
