Great article .., thanks for posting.

Just abit confusing because one paragraph states: “gives developers the ability to include controls for their own apps” and the other two paragraphs applies to users. Not sure if that implies Ford developers need to enable something to provide those controls and if so what limitations for users might result.

“iOS 18 update gives developers the ability to include controls for their own apps, and that list includes Ford.”

“Apple iPhone users will soon be able to adjust the way these controls are laid out and even resize them.”

“iOS 18 enables users to do things like arrange apps and widgets in any open space on the home screen, including placing them right above the dock for easy access or to frame a wallpaper. App icons and widgets can utilize a dark or tinted effect, and users can make them appear larger as well.”

I sure don't know what it all means. That's for you and Mark to decipher and report back.

Screwed up again. I meant to add that it's up to you and Mark to decipher and report back.

Has your Location shown in FordPass App remained working? I haven’t seen any incoming fixes on the FordPass Community. Did you?
It's not 100%, kind of intermittent...
I hope it will be reliable soon... An update perhaps in the near future...?

And no, I have not seen anything either.

I can assume FordPass App Location will be made more reliable because you are not the only one with the issue but i don’t see the issue you are having listed on FordPass Community.

Probably helpful for you and others if you post the Location issue on FordPass Community.

I’m assuming that Ford will have shortcuts for auto-start, lock/unlock, and maybe another feature or two that you access in Control Center. It’s not there yet in the first beta. I was hoping it would be already.

I don’t see “Control Center” in the FordPass App. But I use an iPhone (FordPass App v5.0.2) so not sure if the App on Android might be different, in any case, what do you mean by “Control Center”?

I did not use the beta version.
Control Center is an iOS feature. When you swipe down from the upper right. This is where the new features will be for quick access for apps that Apple will allow developers to add.

I certainly hope it will be reliable soon.
One time even showed me "vehicle on" when it was parked and switched off...

I had no problems with the previous version... Just saying...
