“Only vehicles with the 1.5-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine are included in the recall.“

I heard this on the radio today. At first I thought it was old news since I got the "fix" on my Feb '22 production Big Bend last year. I guess FMC has now extended the recall to late model '22s and '23s.

And mine falls within the time frame. I first checked my old order emails and the day I got the built email was on Dec. 21, 2022. And then I checked my Ford account and sure enough, there's an open recall notice that was issued on March 14. Just when I thought it only affected 21s and 22s, it trickled its way into 23s. I figured being a third model year I would be in the clear but nope. Looks like I'm scheduling a service appointment soon ?

Is the date range just an update from an earlier recall? Cause my BS was recalled with the same reasoning and it was built on may2021.

there's a date of 9-27-23 on the bottom of my Window Sticker so i'm guessing that's the Build Date?I got it new on December 20,2023.

I'll wait and see if Ford issues a recall notice to me, as the tube was already put in place on my 2023.

For what it’s worth, my dealership called me last week to tell me about this recall and are doing a mobile visit and doing the fixes in my work parking lot on Tuesday. They said something about a pcm update as well

Yes, this is the same recall applied to a wider range of vehicles. If you have already complied with this recall then you are good to go.

Really Ford. Fix the bad injectors. The band aid is the best you can do?

Ford says in documents filed with U.S. safety regulators that fuel injectors can crack, and gasoline or vapor can accumulate near ignition sources, possibly touching off fires.

Dealers will install a tube to let gasoline flow away from hot surfaces to the ground below the vehicle. They'll also update engine control software to detect a pressure drop in the fuel injection system. If that happens, the software will disable the high-pressure fuel pump, reduce engine power and cut temperatures in the engine compartment, according to documents posted Wednesday on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.

Really??? Just a totally uninformed take.
He may have a point. The injectors are weak and may crack. Upgrade the injectors or maybe Ford has.
