So I know that most of my trucks came with an adequate battery when purchased new. I've always upgraded before battery was ending its' service.
I usually get Optima because I use power inverters for tools when out up in the mountains.
I've read quite a bit of the battery posts here at the forum and there appears to be a possible problem with the stock battery in a premature time period.
So I figure I might as well start looking now and be ready. I found this posted on the net:

Regardless of which engine came in your Bronco Sport, the replacement battery is the same- an H6 or Group 48. Whether your Bronco Sport came from the factory with an Enhanced Flooded Battery (EFB) or Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) battery, OPTIMA offers a direct-fit upgrade for either battery with our DH6 YELLOWTOP.

I usually purchase the red top for most my trucks when replacing but they offer the yellow top for the Bronco Sport.
I'm all ears for any thoughts about Battery upgrade applied when using power inverter service occasionally.
Heading for the mountains in my new Badlands this Thursday.:sunglasses:

The Optima brand makes great batteries. I'm looking to get ahead to when it comes to replacing my stock battery. What are your thoughts on Lithium batteries?

Can the Battery Management System be set up to handle a Lithium Battery? As I understand it, they have different charging requirements. Cheers!

I don't think it's the battery because AGM batteries fail too. I think it's the charging system that can't handle the electronics. I'm also a believer that start/stop is a battery/charging system strain.

I had looked and found many links. I did not check to see if there is a specific X2 battery for the bronco sport. There’s also lots of reviews for X2 batteries but I haven’t had time to research those. (EDITED)

https://x2powerbattery.com/

https://www.batteriesplus.com/brand-shops/x2power

Warranty stated: The warranty coverage available is a free replacement period, which extends for a period of Ten (10) years or 2000 cycles, whichever is earlier. Should the battery fail due to a manufacturing defect within the free replacement period, the battery will be replaced at no cost with a new battery of comparable performance.

Not sure what 2,000 cycles exactly means for X2 but on my Ebike battery I’m familiar with a limit on battery full charge cycles allowed under warranty.

Ford keeps replacing batteries just like that company would. The problem is what is causing the batteries to die. We have read of the new lead acid batteries and AGM batteries dying. What would make that battery better if there is an issue with the vehicle's battery charging?

Thanks! I see it comes with this warranty: Comes with a 4 year free replacement limited warranty. See SLI limited warranty Policy for details.

I could not find the spec for Reserve Capacity. Did you see that spec?
67 AH.

67AH would be related to Reserve Capacity. I’m looking for the more accurate Reserve Capacity spec in minutes for the SLI48AGMDP X2Power Premium AGM. I do see it says “ Capacity 20hr: 67AH “ (sometimes that is not the same as Reserve Capacity if the battery manufacturer does not test to the spec)

Reserve Capacity: a time measurement in minutes that defines how long a fully-charged battery can deliver 25 amps of current in an 80°F environment, before the battery is discharged down to 10.5 volts.

Examples:
Motorcraft BHEF-48H6 lead-acid
Dimensions: 10.9" L x 6.9" W x 7.5" H
700 CCA Cold Cranking Amps
Reserve Capacity: 120 minutes.

Motorcraft BAGM-48H6-760
Dimensions: 10.94" L x 6.89" W x 7.48" H
760 CCA Cold Cranking Amps
Reserve Capacity: 120 minutes.
