I think you can buy an attachment to add it to cars.Unfortunately for me, my Big Bend doesn't have the securicode. Wish it did.
Yes, Ford offers it for about 100.00 not including installation.I think you can buy an attachment to add it to cars.
NO NO NO LOLSo I've received a "Do you still like your Bronco Sport?" survey via email from Ford. Part of the survey requested feedback on the concept of a smart phone app completely replacing key fobs or keys. Am I the only person thinking this is an incredibly horrible idea? Phone dies, breaks, gets lost, gets stolen? Even if you're not locked out, you're definitely not driving anywhere.
Embrace the future. Or the past. My grandpa would be 100 years old next year and he had a Sears garage door opener since the early 80s.Guess Iâm late to this party, but here goes. I want my fob! I donât want to run my car from an app (I also want a key, not an electronic lock on my house â barely tolerate the garage door remote). The first thing I see happening after Ford goes to an app to run your car is that you can pay monthly for the privilege of âowningâ your car as itâll become a âserviceâ. Once they have âcontrolâ theyâll be begin charging for âfeaturesâ like Nissan, BMW, Tesla and others are starting to do.
An aside, half the time I canât get the Ford app to register and display my oil life status, let alone start my car. And, remember all the things Ford has unilaterally removed from the app since it first came out?
I donât recall what the titles were, but there was a mapping section and a section for trip planning. I never tried to use them, Ford decided to cut them out so people that did use them lost those functions without notice. What would have been worse to me is if theyâd been told they could continue using the functions for more money.Embrace the future. Or the past. My grandpa would be 100 years old next year and he had a Sears garage door opener since the early 80s.
Either way, what has Ford removed from the app? I've only been a Ford owner since April so I'm curious what I've missed out on.
