Thanks for the reply. I may do this in steps then. The wheel I was looking at was going to give me another positive 20 offset to hopefully push the tire out to be flush with the Bushwacker flares.
I haven't found anyone yet who has done the setup I'm looking at for the Badlands.

From everything I’ve read here, 245/65/17 is safe for all suspension articulation. … The problems with rubbing generally come when the suspension is compressed and the wheel is turned. I have not read any reports of 245/65/17 tires rubbing.
Unfortunately I have read several reports of front 245/65/17 tires rubbing on stock 21/22 Badlands when off-roading. Their posts didn’t say how much suspension compression and wheel turn while they were off-roading they only said they saw some amount of damage attributed to the rubbing (while off-roading). I did not save links to their posts nor do I remember which brand of tires they had on (probably was one of these 245/65/17: bf goodrich all terrain ko2, Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, Falken Wildpeak A/T but I don’t remember the specific tire). I only noted to be 100% safe go with 235/65/17.

Discount Tire claims that the 245 65R17's would be just fine on my Badlands according to their records. I don't really do major off-roading, so it would probably be fine. Might end up with the lift still. $800 +/- for the HRG including install though.

I was planning on getting a Rough Country 1.5" lift on my 2023 BadLands, but I just found out that RC doesn't make one for the Badlands. :( Has anyone done a lift for that trim? I do want to put on some Mickey Thompson 245/65 R17's, but was planning on lifting first. Now I'm at a stand-still.
4 Wheel Parts has a lift that works on the Badlands, it's also fairly inexpensive.

If you're mecanically inclined and install it yourself, you could almost buy a set of tires.

Actually it shows that it doesn’t fit mine. And those are half the cost of what HRG costs.

Interesting.
I don't believe Ford changed the Badlands suspension for the 2023 model year.
Most likely 4WP hasn't updated the fitment list.

Lots of reports here on the 245/65/17 without issue, but for sure a 235/65/17 is safe because it is an OEM size. I could see the BFG K02 having a rub because of how square the shoulders are but even then several people here have them and have not reported any issue.

If you get that kit (or anyone else) make sure that there is a recess in the strut spacer. Early lift kits did not have that recess. If the spacer sits up on center portion of the ”strut hat”, it will eventually have creaking noises.

I called 4WP this morning and they confirmed that it will not work on the 2023 Badlands for whatever reason. I see online that it will work for the 2022 Badlands though. He said that even Readylift won't work for the 23 BL.

I wonder what is different about the 23 that makes the kit not work?

No idea. Even my salesman at the dealership said that he's not aware of any change and "on some 23 models, I've looked for a part for it, and the system says no, but a 2022 part number will work." I'm wondering if I should just order the part and see if my Ford installer can look at it and see if it will work with the parts in hand.

If the 4WP person looked at the same info in their catalog or web page, they will say it doesn't fit.

I still believe the 4WP documentation hasn't caught up.
