FWIW, stay away from the bushwacker flares. Don't fit and zero support, so a waste of money.
Bummer.

Correct. There's a fab shop I was recommended to by my dealership that says they'll make it a permanent add-on for $600 but I don't know what that means. As far as materials they'll use. So I just have my 3rd set of flares in the garage and haven't bothered with them.

Man, I love the way these look, but the fitment issues worry me. But there seems to be a bunch of people with them that haven't had any issues...

Wish I could test fit if they'd work on mine THEN pay for them. Hah.

That would be the ideal scenario. Even if they fixed them to have 3M tape on the lip that would fix the problem with the gap. Now the issues with clips simply NOT fitting to where they're supposed to go, that's another thing.

I installed the Bushwacker flares and so far no issues at all. I check the clips occasionally to make sure they are tight on the inside of the fender wells.

Well then I hate your face...but only a little. It's just pure jealousy.

So your clips always fit around the lip of the fender and the underside without coming up short of the rectangular hole they're supposed to fit in?

The clip bit kinda fits (faint praise there), but the molded shape is so far off that the "lever" can't begin to hold the edge against the body. 3M tape doesn't help that - doesn't allow the edge to fit properly.

The really bad part is the waste of $400 + bucks. Better to wad up a bunch of singles and duct tape...
Shoulda done my homework, I guess. Expensive lesson.

Dealer is installing mine for 30.00. Hard to beat that! If it's messed up it's on them.

So I had the same issue with the Rough Country ones I installed. Also almost lost them from the insane winds here in Vegas. I tried everything I could with the included clips to modify it to fit more snug. The only issues I had was with the rear flares on the doors. I noticed a tiny gap between the molding on the doors and the metal where the clips snap into. My dad who's been in the automotive field for 50 years suggested we try inserting a fuel hose that has been sliced to prevent it from flexing. I have attached the modification we made and can report after a week and taking it almost 80 mph. It has fixed the issues I was having with mine. Hope this helps! Some people said they didn't have a gap in theirs in a different thread but mine did.

I’m having the same issues with these flares for the driver side rear wheel. Ford wants me to return to the dealer for an exchange or refund but the dealer wants me to bring it in to have their body shop look at it ??‍♂. I called the customer support for bushwacker and after a little troubleshooting they are sending me a repair kit. I don’t know why it is so difficult to return a part that is not working correctly.

Their repair kit is laughable. Not trying to bring your hopes down but they sent me that too. I have it somewhere around here. I believe I have pictures of it on my phone too. I'll post if I find them.

Same place. Driver's side rear. It just doesn't seal against the body...

Yes they fit flush and clip into the rectangular hole. I did have another set that I installed on a BS, and the left rear flare never fit snugly. I contacted Bushwacker and they sent new clips that were better but still not a tight fit.

That sucks to hear. Hopefully the dealer will do me right and let me return them.
