We didn't get the premium package on our Badlands, and I didn't like the feel of the steering wheel. I tried a couple of the slip-on covers, but I couldn't find one that fit well. This leather wrap on Amazon has a lot of good reviews, so I ordered one and installed it myself. I'm not real happy with the way it sits on top of the trim at the bottom, so I'm looking for a way to get it under the trim piece. Alternatively, if I can find an aftermarket overlay that goes over the factory trim I'll try that. Other than that, I think the installation is acceptable, and it certainly makes the steering wheel feel a lot better in my hands.

UPDATE: Weather finally warmed up enough to attempt tucking the leather under the trim at the bottom. Turned out really well!

I got one of those for my wife's BL. But I did a really piss poor job of installing and it looked like crap. I just replaced with a slip on cover that seems to fit well and she likes it. At some point, if prices come down, I might replace the steering wheel altogether.

My wife did not like the feel of the steering wheel either. I found this one on Car ID, it is made by Rixxu & cost $16.95 now $17.95, & the best part she loves it. Here is a link to it, you can get the stripe at the top & the stitching in a few different colors.

Finally got a warm enough day to tackle tucking the bottom of the wrap under the trim. I think it turned out great!

I just installed a similar cover - how did you raise that trim up at the bottom? I don't want to break mine. Did you just pry it up, or are there fasteners somewhere?
Thanks.

Does the cover affect the performance of the heated steering wheel?

I just used a plastic trim tool and carefully tucked it under. The plastic is probably more flexible than you think. Once you have the edge of the leather tucked in the rest follows nicely.

I test drove a non-wrapped big bend and man, that steering wheel felt like cheap crap. I had to go with the wrapped when I ordered the badlands. Coming from an Audi, I couldn't go to something that felt like a video game accessory.

I’ve had leather steering wheels and in the past put them on a few of my cars.
But I felt no need with my Bronco Sport Base.
It feels just fine, I don’t understand the complaints.
I figured most did it to add a custom touch.

I just installed a Belinous size M5 Steering wheel cover from Amazon - about 15 dollars. Had pretty good reviews. It was a lot of work - 1.5 to 2 rather tedious

hours - but I think it came out pretty well. Looks and smells pretty nice actually. I may try to tuck the bottom part into trim like another member did, but don't have the trim tools at the moment - I just tucked it into itself and it looks ok. I had previously installed a slip on cover that worked pretty well, but it was sort of thick and moved around a bit. This one looks close to factory installed. I like the steering wheel covers as it gets pretty cold here in the winter and the stock plastic wheel was a bit cold and slippery when it was really cold.

Found this thread useful
determined it more of a safety than aesthetic issue
stock wheel lacked the secure feeling
sometimes find it necessary to engage with other drivers
hand signaling, facial expressions, loud verbal exchange, warning shots
leaning out the window
knee steering becomes critical
especially not when not wanting to spill a beverage is involved
a decent steering wheel wrap makes me feel more in control of a vehicle

I'm interested in putting on a leather wrap, with stitching, on my BB steering wheel like MarkS and tjbronco's. I wonder, will it have any affect on the co-pilot 360+?

The system monitors driver interaction by sensing steering wheel inputs, not with sensors on the steering wheel itself.
