@katozzi what was the outcome of the Wonky Headlight issue? What was the fix for that?

I’ve been meaning to reply for a long time but keep forgetting to update.

the module I bought on eBay did in fact restore my headlight. However, the programming was slightly different.

For Example, when exiting the vehicle and locking with the fob, the DRL would stay on for 30 seconds (adjustable in settings) then the original passenger headlight would cut out immediately, but the driver side would do a slow fade down.

I replaced this module on Easter Day, and only had to remove the air intake box to access the screws. If you want a step by step, just let me know.
However just recently (maybe beginning of June) I noticed the headlight is inop again!
so that “fix” lasted only 3 months or so

luckily we don’t do a lot of night time driving but will become a bigger issue come winter. I still am hoping for a quick software update fix but am not optimistic it will be cheap.

Various names for that Headlamp module including:

LC5A-13B626-AG LED Headlamp Ballast Control Module Unit Compatible with 2021-2023 Bronco Sport Xenon Ballast HID Headlight Assembly Unit

LC5A-13B626-AG Xenon HID Headlight Ballast fit for 2021-2023 for Ford Bronco Sport

Does that Headlamp module show up on the wiring diagram and if so do you know if the Headlamp module is driven by the BCM Body Control Module? (I’m assuming you were provided with the Bronco Sport wiring diagrams).

Perhaps the Headlamp module you purchased was defective in that it failed quickly. I see them on Amazon as low as $43. But is also possible whatever caused both Headlamp modules to fail is the root cause.

@katozzi are there any more updates (after 7/2/2024) on the headlamp issue you have been having?

Where did you find those part numbers? As far as I know no bronco sports had an hid lamp option.

Edit: I see now its just a mis labeled amazon link

Yes - see pics in Post #17 for part numbers - often sites like Amazon, Ebay, etc. contain misleading descriptions but also possible the part works for various vehicles with differing hardware and configurations.

Hey everyone, Sorry for the late reply.
This has been an ongoing issue, and still do not have a resolution!

I somehow made it all winter with one headlight.
Luckily we very rarely if ever have to drive a night, and have a second vehicle for that if needed.

It is hard to say whether the replacement module I bought was defective, or the root cause of the issue also caused that new module to go bad, but its interesting that they have the same failure mode.

Does anyone know if Ford has advanced diagnostics that should be able to look at the module on a computer to see its program?

I work for a different OEM and have software to change parameters like the headlight off delay timers and things of that nature, just wondering what the equivalent of this for Ford would be, and how much a dealer might charge to even open the laptop to look.

I am thinking that I'll end up getting another replacement module but maybe from a different source.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Has anyone found a good deal on replacement headlamp assemblies?
