The Carlinkit has a USB-A and a USB-C port. They provide an A to C cable. Going from the C port in the cubby to the A port didn’t work but going from the A port in the cubby to the C port did. I’ll try a C to C cable this weekend.

Wondering if anyone has tried to swap the USB connectors between the dash and center console, or unplug them and extend the wires under the gear selector and cup holders to effectively "swap" the two?

I haven't swapped between the adapter an cable yet, but I think the adapter outputs a different display resolution (higher) than the phone does through the cable.

If you are using IOS, Carlinkit 3.0 works great. Yes, 4.0 is newer, but then so will 5 and 6. 3.0 works great on my 22.

I don’t understand ?
My iPhone, I play/stream from that and I’m wireless. Same same on long trips I plug in.
Mine starts up simply. What am I missing ? What does it do that my phone doesn’t do ?

It connects the phone to the sync system wirelessly as if it is a wired connection.
Amazon sent me an email today about the CarLinkit 3.0 and there was a coupon checkbox that got their price to $90. Just in case anyone is thinking about it. Again, the 3.0 is only for Apple CarPlay, not Android Auto.

My I Phone 13 connects to my sync wirelessly and I can control the phone from my dash screen or from the phone, like it’s wired.
Now I am really confused.
I’m not trying to be funny, but really confused.
