Can anyone recommend a good windshield cover that won't sag, will cover side mirrors and won't fly off in the wind? Husband is leary about buying anything with flaps to go into door jams/frames. He doesn't want snow, ice or rain inside (naturally). I'd appreciate the help or insight. Thanks!

I am asking about a cover for the windshield that will keep the windshield dry from snow and ice!

OOOhhhhhhh, of course that makes sense. When I read the part about the wind my brain went to a BS rolling down the road.

I've never used one of those windshield covers. Growing up in Michigan makes me very skeptical that these won't end up frozen to the car making even more of a problem. Maybe in perfect powdery snow conditions they may work but that type of snow is easy to brush off anyway. I personally would opt for a good snow brush and scraper. there's a lot of them available on Amazon.

I see your point. Did you use one that was made specifically for your vehicle or was it a generic one? I have only been looking at what has been made specifically for my Bronco Sport and they seem to be made a lot better than years ago (fit wise). My husband is more concerned about the gap where the windshield wipers lay. He wants me to find a cover that will lay over that.
I don’t know what to do. Need to hit the lottery and build a garage!

Your husband is right, that is a deep gap where the wipers lay (aka the cowl) and its tough to get frozen or wet snow out of there. The other night before a snow and freezing rain storm I folded my summer windshield cover a few times , laid it across the opening and then held it down with a piece of wood. Not perfect but it kept most of the snow and ice out of the cowl and off of the wipers !

Cheers

With the 5ft of snow in December this was the best investment. I folded the flaps in the doors to snug it up and had no issues with snow coming in the vehicle.
