I drove a 2013 Escape 2.5L (Base). Still runs great, only 65k miles. Handed it down to my daughter for her first year of college next year. I was gonna use it to trade in for the Bronco Sport but, I would then have to find a used car for her to use, and we all know what prices are like right now, so trading it was no longer an option.

This is the time to trade it in because Ford is discontinuing them and the value for them as used is only going to go down. I was really lucky that there's a shortage of used vehicles at this time so even the Ecosport will bring good money.
Not sure what the resale values were pre-shortages for EcoSport but they were abysmal for Focus. They were really bad for the last gen Focus, particularly due to their infamous transmission issues. I thought I was stuck with my 2016 Focus since it was worth more to me than the depreciation. Yet somehow, when I first started checking what it was worth last year, it was around $11k. Into the summer it got up to $15k, when normally it should've been worth more no more than $10k.

I repeatedly talked myself out of moving to something like a Maverick or an Escape, even with the inflated values.

Then someone totaled it so I ended up getting back more than that. Still would've rather not been in the car when it happened, or to have taken the payout from e.g. Carvana instead, but alas.

So for now I have a shiny Bronco Sport.

Those aren't the original MKC wheels, though. Those look like Continental wheels unless they are actually 20s.
They absolutely are original rims, they were a costly option! Everything on my MKC was via custom order.

I should have kept the 18 Escape. It was an SE 4wd with 28k and CoPilot360 which the Ecosport titanium didn't but it should have. I would have also had way more equity for the Bronco Sport deal. However, it still worked out well for us in the end.

Congrats! Built 2/8 and you haven't gotten it, do you have an ETA?
Talked to the dealer yesterday, they’re pretty convinced it’ll be there Tuesday or Wednesday. My sales guy even sounded excited which why not it’s good for him and me.

2005 Subaru Outback 3.0R. It was my fourth Subaru (2 previous Outbacks and 1 Forester XT). They were all great cars with tons of interior cargo space for goaltending and music gear.

The Subie was a real workhorse, a lot of fun to drive and VERY dependable, never got stuck in the snow EVER, yet, I wanted something newer, but I didn't like Subaru's decision to go with a CVT, so, I ordered the Area 51 Badlands as a replacement, and, sold the Subie to a co-worker.

I traded my shelby/ranger combination for a BS/Miata duo and have no regrets about any of these vehicles. I drove my GT350 at ridiculous speeds for 2 years and got all that muscle car hoopla out of my system. I now have a fun car with a manual transmission and a practical 4WD vehicle that will last me as long as my driving future. I'm 73 now and retired so I don't do a lot of driving anymore. If I was in my 40s I would have probably kept the Shelby.

I was driving an OB bronco sport. But before that, it was a 2015 Mustang 4cyl Ecoboost.

Before now, I’ve driven ā€˜stangs exclusively since 1993. But always wanted a bronco. Always thought of them as kindred spirits.

I don’t regret the trade in. How could I pass up the crazy money trades anyway of last year?
