I haven't reset my MPG since buying the vehicle and mine is the same. My lifetime MPG is 23.9 and that says a completely different number. I do not believe it shows the average MPG since reset considering my case where I have NOT reset it at all since buying the vehicle.

The way I am reading your comment is that you have never reset the trip meter or the lifetime average display and they have 2 different numbers. Is that correct?
Can you take a picture of both displays that show this?
it's strange...
i was averaging around 27 mpg in my BS Heritage (just hit 2800 miles). I filled up the other day, and i am halfway through the tank and now BARELY able to maintain 23 mpg. Same driving, same route, same driving style, same everything. Popped the hood last night after my ride home to check under the hood.... no leaks, no smell of fuel anywhere, oil seems clean, no odor of fuel there.
The only variable has been the outdoor temperature (mid-high 20's in the mornings when i head to work) but i wouldn't think it would make THAT much of a difference. I'll have to keep an eye on things to see how the next tank of two work out...
Cold temps definitely drops the MPG but 4 mpg seems a lot but I would check manually over a few tanks to really tell.
Are you letting the car warm up before driving?
Using fuel while not traveling will cause the mpg to drop.

Thanks you guys. The lifetime avg display. I get it now. The 22.4 being a life time avg kinda agrees with my mpg tracking over the past few months. I am retired so I can pretty much control how I waste a tank of gas and I have tested as follows. I have about 12k today. 1.5 big bend. The fuel injector leak was ruled out. I got Hwy only at 75 for 15 gals is 26 -27, in city under 45 is 13-14 , 50/50 rural and city mix is 21 -22 ...it matches pretty much the reading on this guage. Which is 5 to 6 mpg under the stated

EPA estimates 28 mpg highway, so your in the ballpark considering you drive at 75mph. 13-14 mpg in city driving is significantly below the EPA estimate of 25 mpg. Since you live in Mississippi I think you can rule out cold weather and heavy traffic as factors.
EPA estimates are just that: estimates, but your city mpg figure is nearly 50% lower than the estimate. You say you don't drive with a heavy foot, but that's a rather subjective measure. I would make a conscious effort to drive conservatively (throttle-wise) for a few tanks to see if anything changes. Consider using ECO mode while in city traffic (it shouldn't affect highway driving) to minimize acceleration and keep RPMs low. If that doesn't result in any improvement then I think a discussion with your service department is in order.
The definition of "city" driving is different for everyone.
If most of your city driving is McComb MS. I wouldn't consider that the type of driving the EPA uses to get their city mileage amount. I believe their numbers are based somewhat off of Los Angeles traffic patterns. So your mpg in your "city" should be equal to or greater then that.
Keep an eye on it like Mark said.
Maybe if you see another sport in your town in passing you can ask the owner what mileage they are getting.
Nope.... usually i'm on the walk to the garage when the scheduled remote start kicks in, so.... less than a minute between engine start and driving. Appreciate your comment on that.

Our milage may vary...
Mine is, more or less, impressively staying at around 24.5 or 6 which is more than I ever expected out of this vehicle. Particularly because I'm crawling around the New York City area 80% of the time. I keep it in ECO mode most of the time as well. I'm not really going anywhere where in my day-to-day life where I'd need any kind of real performance. Every once in awhile when I'm enjoying a road-trippy highway ride up out of Westchester, I'll rock the Sport Mode.

How long a drive is it to get to work? The engine will not attain full operating temperature for 10-15 minutes, and during that time the PCM (powertrain control module) will use a richer-than-normal mixture--it sends more gas to the engine. The purpose of this is to get the catalytic converter up to operating temperature as rapidly as possible because it doesn't do its job until it's hot. Frequent short trips without allowing the engine to fully warm means more driving with a rich mixture, and this can absolutely affect your fuel economy.
My previous car was an EcoBoost Mustang. I tracked mileage for the car assiduously (obsessively?). My work commute was 35 minutes of highway driving both ways, with a short (> 1 mile) drive on surface streets at the end. In other words, the perfect commute to maximize fuel economy. I regularly saw 32-33 mpg in the summer months, and 30-31 in the winter. The first year I owned the car I would drive it at lunch time to someplace local to get food. I noticed in the winter my mileage dropped to 28-29 mpg. After I started packing a lunch (or walking to a nearby sandwich shop) my mileage rebounded to 30-31. Cold weather makes a big difference with these cars, especially if you make a lot of short trips on a cold engine.
