Would love to see some pics of it installed once you get a chance! It’s the one from Ford
I know it attaches directly to the face of the hood, there’s no space between the deflector and the hood like the old ones. So there’s that dilemma I’m having sticking it right to the paint.Would love to see some pics of it installed once you get a chance!
it looks super clean, mostly wondering on the BS how it looks with regards to that sort of “continuing the grill over the hood” look that the Aeroskin II hasThese pics are of one of my sons 2016 F-150 SuperCrew as you can see it’s an AVS one and it attaches to the vehicle just like it will attach to a Bronco Sport. If this helps anyone make a choice.
I guess that all depends what color Bronco Sport you have ? I’m sure it’s just going to blend right in on my Bronco Sport due to my color is Shadow Black, so you probably can’t even notice it on mine.it looks super clean, mostly wondering on the BS how it looks with regards to that sort of “continuing the grill over the hood” look that the Aeroskin II has
Thanks for that info Joel, I didn’t even No that EGR made a bug deflector, we’ll I just ordered one. I’ll have to wait an see how it mounts. Thanks, SteveThis is why I'm leaning towards the EGR one since it doesn't use adhesive.
I'd like to see a close up of that when you get it. Can't find a pic of the BSThanks for that info Joel, I didn’t even No that EGR made a bug deflector, we’ll I just ordered one. I’ll have to wait an see how it mounts. Thanks, Steve
Sure thing, I just don’t see how it’s going to attach to the underside of the hood unless you remove the rubber seal that’s there and then use those holes I guess. But we shall soon find out when I get it.I'd like to see a close up of that when you get it. Can't find a pic of the BS
Thanks Joel, looks easy enough. But we soon shall see.It should be similar to this install. It looks pretty easy and I like how easy it would be to take off if needed.
I’ve had them on most of my vehicles. That being said, I haven’t decided whether to put them on my BS BL. I’m not a big fan of open windows while driving and using the climate control works fine for me. If you choose to put the guards on, I would suggest getting the in channel type. I’ve seen what the adhesive can do to the finish when they are removed. A friend bought a used t-bird that had them. They were on crooked, so she had them removed. Ended up having to put new ones on to hide the damage to the paint. Was it all the adhesive’s fault? No idea, but I won’t be chancing it on a new vehicle.I've never had the rain guards on a vehicle. Are they really that beneficial?
From my experience with all kinds on trucks, suv's, minivans.... Partially. What I need to know is, do hood protectors deflect bugs and other stuff from striking the windshield? I drive I-5 through farm country and have to spend a lot of time scraping bugs off the window!
Counter point, I've had the in channel ones, and they've permanently distorted the rubber surround on the windshield. So that when I eventually had to remove them because the broke, the surround didn't seal against the glass very well any more. But also have seen theadhesion promoter and adhesive combo destroy some trim on a friends vehicle... They both have issues.I’ve had them on most of my vehicles.
