My delivery week is this week, but I just checked the dealer's website and my car is no longer showing up. My window sticker also changed the date on the bottom to today's date. This doesn't mean anything terrible, right?

It's my understanding that the window sticker bottom date is updated at every change of the sticker. Why would a retail order be on their website anyway? It seems janky if they are advertising a retail order to the public.

Agreed. I don't love that my car has been posted on their website for others to assume it is available. But other vehicles that were previously listed are still there and mine isn't.

When I was first looking, I found one that was 99% what I was looking for on a dealer's website. When I enquired about it and finally got them to "find it", I was told that it was a customer order and unless they didn't pick it up, it wasn't available. So, it seems that custom orders showing up on dealer websites is not an unusual thing. I do think it is sort of a bait-n-switch situation but it does seem to be how they do things.
Your window sticker changing does seem to be odd and will be good data when you figure out what exactly is happening.

They use the vehicles to get you to the lot then work their magic. I go by the inventory search on Ford's site first because I have a high level of distrust for dealerships. I can't imagine why this model has lasted as long as it has other than customers don't have an option. We have no leverage to force change. Some places like Granger and Long McArthur seem to be working towards a different experience. I hope it catches on.

I put in an order on the A-Plan, but Ford seems to think it's a reservation more than an actual order. At least, when I tried to sign up for the Off-Roadeo, they said I couldn't because they weren't counting it as an order. I don't understand the difference, but I wonder if that has some effect.

Got my email from ford on Friday telling me I had a 5-23 week production date. Got a text from my dealer today telling me the same. I replied that I hope it doesn't get moved back. He responded that not likely to have production delays, but it could have a transportation delay. ?

Looks like I’m here for a while longer. Dealership texted today to say delivery Is delayed because of local transport problems. Projected delivery is now sometime next week. And he said even though the date is 4/4, it will likely be a few days after that. Bummer.

You can take some solace in the fact that your wait is now down to days, instead of months or weeks.
Yours is one of the longest non Badland Sport durations I've seen (of recent history), hopefully it will be in your hands soon.
I'm rounding the corner to 5 months, and with no Vin / Date assigned yet. So yeah, I don't want to think about a possible when. Hanging on though, as I am locked into pricing before the last increase and hopefully the $1K Order Incentive.
Sad to see you still haven't heard anything yet also - fellow order date buddy. Not fun seeing all these 2022 orders get scheduled. I will kick and scream for that $1K after all this.

Saw Long MacArthur's YouTube update this week....it is not looking good for us who ordered BL with Premium and 360+. stock some toilet paper..it is gonna be a long wait
