Agreed. I don't love that my car has been posted on their website for others to assume it is available. But other vehicles that were previously listed are still there and mine isn't.
When I was first looking, I found one that was 99% what I was looking for on a dealer's website. When I enquired about it and finally got them to "find it", I was told that it was a customer order and unless they didn't pick it up, it wasn't available. So, it seems that custom orders showing up on dealer websites is not an unusual thing. I do think it is sort of a bait-n-switch situation but it does seem to be how they do things.
They use the vehicles to get you to the lot then work their magic. I go by the inventory search on Ford's site first because I have a high level of distrust for dealerships. I can't imagine why this model has lasted as long as it has other than customers don't have an option. We have no leverage to force change. Some places like Granger and Long McArthur seem to be working towards a different experience. I hope it catches on.
Or Fridays... I didn't get my email till Friday morning. The patience struggle is real, stick with it.?‍So many factors beyond my control.. I'll stop trying to figure it out and be patient until Thursdays roll around!

Looks like I’m here for a while longer. Dealership texted today to say delivery Is delayed because of local transport problems. Projected delivery is now sometime next week. And he said even though the date is 4/4, it will likely be a few days after that. Bummer.
You can take some solace in the fact that your wait is now down to days, instead of months or weeks.
Yours is one of the longest non Badland Sport durations I've seen (of recent history), hopefully it will be in your hands soon.
Sad to see you still haven't heard anything yet also - fellow order date buddy. Not fun seeing all these 2022 orders get scheduled. I will kick and scream for that $1K after all this.
This is why I think either individual dealers/regional schedulers or Ford is screwing things up. I understand it can't be strictly FIFO because of constraints, but it should be FIFO among like units. There's a glitch in their system somewhere.
I agree. Ordered 12/2 and got the email a little bit ago that I was finally scheduled for 5/30 . . . so 6 months from time of order. This has almost totally depended on who I ordered through . . . which means it will be unlikely that I use them again. I don't think this is fair to the smaller dealerships. I'm also confused why any scheduling took place this week as it wasn't on their schedule.
