That lines up with what someone at Ford had told me when I called about 3 weeks ago. They said the tow package was holding things up but I was not sure how reliable what she was saying because she kept saying Bronco instead of Bronco Sport.
Another vote for the Tow Pkg
Knew the Badlands lagged behind the other trim levels in builds. Within Badland builds in no particular order, it could be Premium, Moonroof, 360+ and / or Tow Pkg. Based on looking at some of our posts, order dates and content - looks like the current hold up is the Tow Pkg. Have seen a couple with order dates 5 or more weeks after my 12/13 date, and they've received scheduled build dates. Their builds were missing the Tow Pkg.

Hm… not sure if it is someone on this forum, I read on a Badlands FB page that some dealer told someone the 360 is causing delay. If it was the tow package I’d remove that and add a hitch later. I assume that’s easy to add by any shop right? I don’t intend to tow, the hitch is a must for a bike rack. And factory hitch usually integrated nicely with the bumper. I read someone ordered in mid December and is ready to take delivery!! I can only dream about that…..

I would not buy a car without the 360 capability these days. It is 2022, all cruise control should be adaptive cruise at minimum.

I was going crazy. I did not order. I did the idiot thing.. I paid $2000 over MSRP to skip the line and take a "dealer order" placed 6 months ago. Today I asked my sales person to ask his manager to print a visibility report. Note the change in time zone.. It's "Mountain Time" for my Badlands Bronco.. "yee haw!" (see MT time zone on Feb 23) change at the top.

(This is when I got "Origin Received" status.. Out of the parking lot and almost on the train.)

You are lucky your dealer is showing you this. I keep asking for them to check the visibility report and they claim it doesn't exist and that I will get an email from Ford when I am assigned a VIN. Do you know if the visibility report is only populated once a VIN is assigned? If so, then they aren't lying to me LOL

I could believe the 360+ is the holdup what with the chip shortage & all. Ordered 11/6/21 & my dealer can’t get it scheduled, but I refuse to go without the 360+. Absolutely agree with you on the adaptive cruise. After having it, I’d never be without again.

How much do you bug your dealer?

I see too many showing up to dealer lots with 360+ to think that's the current problem.

Badlands, especially with Premium Package and/or Assist+ (extra chips). I ordered both and haven't been assigned a build date yet.
If you want up to the minute information on what is going on listen/watch to this weekly live cast from a Ford dealership employee who reads Ford news and answers questions. He does the live cast from his office in a dealership near Kansas City.

Ford Video Guy (link preview shows another episode but it should take you to episode 30)
Episode 30: March Production Information and Discussion

In this 90 minute (!) episode he reads a list of "scheduling notifications" directly from Ford (only a dealer can see). He discusses everything and answers all questions. The show seems Maverick centric - it is (because Maverick is actually hotter than the Bronco Sport right now).

Some where in there he reads "all Bronco Sport Badlands with the Premium PAckage will not be scheduled". He rips off dozens of jewels like that and takes "any question" on what is going on with production and orders at Ford.

Another example is 30:00 in he shows a new insider list of "Delay Codes" that will be used on upcoming Vehicle Visibility Reports. Check it out..

You keep mentioning what is called Assist+ package. He discusses it all. I would love our administrator to dedicate a sticky thread in the ordering forum where people can post Bronco Sport tidbits that are sprinkled in the 90 minute show each week.
For the Badlands the three "packages" available are the premium, tow, and 360+, so the terminology matters on this.

I agree. Every Ford across all lines comes with Co-Pilot 360. So the "Co-Pilot360" is not necessary (thus it is usually just called "Assist+"). All I know is once you have the "Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go" you can't live without it. It really works. I have been stuck in a one hour traffic jam and my foot never touched the brake (crawling along).

I'm not sure if its still an issue but IIRC last summer there was a point where the 2.0 engine was causing hold ups as well, not sure why.

That happened again briefly in late February. Confirmed with my dealership yesterday there was a 2.0L engine hold for a few weeks that was lifted early this week. So Badlands orders haven’t been getting scheduled (or at least very few of them) have happened for the last few weeks.

On ford's inventory search my dealership has 3 new Sports marked as "dealer ordered" with brand new window stickers today. I'll be annoyed if stock orders got scheduled ahead of my order if there aren't constraints causing problems.

I didn't take much stock (pun not intended) in the dealer sites inventory. I only ever found 1 actually on the lot when a site would say 3 or 4 available. The dealer ordered could mean for regular inventory or custom order like yours so those listed are likely already spoken for
